Important to have.
There is nothing that will put a lump in your throat more than needing your gun in an emergency, to find out that the batteries are dead in your security shelf, and you can't get to your gun. It's too late then. I never thought about the batteries in this shelf and that it can not open with dead batteries. You would think that the manufacture would provide you with the external battery pack. They didn't. You need this. You really need this. BTY, the price is right.

Works on my Tactical Trap shelf
My batteries ran out and I could not get into the shelf. A battery backup did not come with my shelf. However, I ordered this one and it opened my Tactical Trap shelf.--and I got it overnight.

NO! NO! NO! Dangerous product!
ZERO STARS. Did this company even test their product? I loaded it with the proper batteries. I double-checked to make sure they were loaded in the slots properly. The batteries were working at 100% because I tested them beforehand. I plugged the device into my safe and allowed it to charge for a little while. When I returned about 30 minutes later, the batteries and the inside of the device was all melted. The battery casings opened up and they all stuck together. What a piece of junk! If this caused a fire and destroyed anything, I would have gone to see my lawyer. DO NOT risk all that you love and care about with this company. Its just NOT WORTH IT!!! Very dangerous!! MADE IN CHINA. My house could have burned down!! I have a family!

Such a relief that this exists!
Saved my ass! I got locked out of my safe because the batteries died and i couldn't do anything about it! My house was up for sale and all of the paper work was inside and i didn't have a key, so it was a life saver! Although it's nearly impossible to remove the batteries once you get them jammed in there!

Saved the day!
I was hesitant to think this would work. But, It worked just as it’s advertised. I spent 2 hours trying to figure something out to get into my safe after the batteries died. Then, I found this nifty device.Upon arrival, I added batteries to the device plugged in we were back into our safe like usual.Do not save this device in your safe! Keep someplace safe or with a trusted person.This will not unlock any safe that is a biometric safe unless original fingerprint is used. The reason I posted this, I saw some reviews and comments when researching this product. I don’t recall if it was on here or another site.
