I bought this tripod specifically to use with a laser level. The mounting plate attaches directly to the level via a retained brass screw and is then locked in place onto the tripod via a sliding lever.It feels well made and is very stable when the legs are locked in place.Height is easily adjusted, firstly with the leg clamps and, secondly, with the rack and pinion mechanism. The rack can be locked at your chosen height.I class my purchases on whether I would buy them again if needed. The answer is 'yes'.

Great bit of kit,my Bosch laser level fits it perfect. My friends dewalt level also fits it perfectly and the Bosch tripod is half the price as the dewalt.

I really like this product, shipping was prompt. Seems really well put together. I dare say it will handle a few knocks, however this is a lightweight frame. If you need something stronger this isn't for you. All parts move smoothly, center pole wind up and down has a real nice feel to it.
