This was exactly what I needed to use in the gift boxes I made for my bridesmaids. The items in the boxes would have been too heavy for regular paper filler. Fair warning, this stuff is definitely messy, I had to go outside to break it apart and place in all my boxes. This was also great for keeping the items safe through shipping to some people out of town.

I like the value aspect, good product for what it is. For gifting it has a bit of a sloop look to it and an earthy soil s smell. I like it, but I can see it causing allergies for some. It made my nose itchy putting baskets together. I’ll use it up but wouldn’t repurchase for my specific projects.

Bulk purchase for baby shower used In table centerpieces and inside gifts and party favors is the way to go! So much for your money.

I was afraid to spend the money on this but it is going to last forever and it’s way more then I thought.

Good Stuff

It is much harder/thicker than excelsior, disappointed!

This is a small box with hardly any wood straw in it - definitely not five pounds worth. The box arrived the day before the movers were coming to pack a 300 year old frame, so there wasn’t time to find another source. A wooden box was constructed to move the frame, and we had to use moving blankets and other materials to fill in around where the wood straw fell short. Very disappointing that the description was so misleading.
