Proper chocolate spread for middle aged children - like me!
I used to love chocolate spread sandwiches when I came home from school (early 1970's) and Cadbury's chocolate spread was the only option.Nowadays all the chocolate spread is either too sweet/milky or is packed with nuts (Sacrilege in my opinion.)Then I found this on Amazon. Dark, rich and chocolatey, it is very close to that memory from the seventies but then I remember the shorts I had to wear and the sandals, those grey socks, and who thought nylon shirts were a good idea...........................Oh well, at least the spread is good and three large jars in one pack is a winner!

Good chocolate at a fair price
Good chocolate at a fair price, but still not as good as the old fashioned Cadbury's dark chocolate spread used to be, before they changed it.

Best Vegan Chocolate Spread
Over my ten years as a vegan I have tried a lot of chocolate spreads. Some have tasted too sugary (a lot actually), some too bland (the sugar free ones) and I've found this chocolate spread is the best. Delightfully dark, perfectly sweet - I use this as a sandwich filler, pancake topping, mixed in porrige. Perfect for those seeking a nice dairy free spread

Extremely bitter
Really very bitter, I love dark chocolate but this stuff barely has any sweetness to it at all...I have to mix some maple syrup or agave into it to make it bareable. Disappointed

misleading & only 30% cocoa powder
I don't really like dark chocolate, but I decided to give it a go for the obvious health reasons. That being said, I looked at all available options and decided to go for this one because I can spread it on something (meaning that I could turn it into something more edible). I agree to most things others say about the taste - it's better than expected (not that 'dark', that is) but it tastes a lot like I'm eating margarine. However, the reason I can only rate it two stars is that I feel tricked into buying a different product from the one I thought I was buying. Unlike most (if not all) other dark chocolates I looked at (with a horrifying amount of cocoa - up to 80, even 90%) this one only has 30%.That would still not be a problem IF they actually indicated it somewhere, but you only find this out when you get the product. Again, I thought I was buying dark chocolate, but I ended up with lots of sunflower oil & non-hydrogenated fat (these two and cane sugar are the first three ingredients mentioned on the bottle). I feel the seller should clearly say that the product only contains 30 % cocoa - THIS is the main reason people buy dark chocolate.I shall not buy this again. I'll go for the real, 80% cocoa chocolate - awful, but healthy.

it is good
this is nice and my family love it, however I much prefer plamil choc orange spread. This is great for spreading and for using as a filling in cupcakes/cakes!
