Good product but instructions are hopeless!
Fitted the strength 3 version as a parallel door closer on the push side of a fire door. The instructions are so vague and lacking in detail that it felt like an instruction booklet was missing (no guidance on adjustment; template measurements differ from product dimensions!). You Tube has clips produced by Yale for fitting Yale closers but to increase the challenge to level 2 (difficult - just below blindfolded) these are only in Spanish! Its a shame because this is a really good product and is excellent value once you've worked out how it fits and can be adjusted.

Well built but abysmal instructions
The unit is well built and made of quality materials. It works well and nicely prevents my garage door from slamming.Actual installation is very easy but the instructions are incredibly poor. The instructions consist of a sheet of paper showing a template on each side, the only difference being dotted lines which I guessed were meant to be hinges on different ends of the template. With a bit of thought it is easy enough to work out what to do but proper instructions would have been nice.

Poor instructions, heavy, but good adjustments
This is a whole chunk of door closer for a not inexpensive price. You'll want this if you have a way heavier door than the norm and also need some good adjustment range. This adjusts 6 ways, so you should find a sweet spot for your own situation.Fitting isn't the easiest but maybe I'm stupid. I looked hard at the instructions and just couldn't make sense. I got there in the end more by trial and error. The adjustment functionality proved handy for me as I wanted the door to 'mainly close' over but not fully force it closed, as I wanted the cat to push and still get in and out of the bedroom, but still maintain some privacy through the auto closure.The reason I have scored down a little is simply because it costs so much more than similar products. I can't see how it's justified. Good alternative options seem to start around £25 mark. Yes, if you want a wider range of adjustments on a heavier door then fine, but even so I can't see in design or build terms how these features are reflected in the premium price.Overall. I doubt you'll regret your choice if you must have what this door closer offers and with no compromises, but I suspect for many they can easily manage with a substantially cheaper model. Horses for courses.

Easy fit
Easy to fit and stops the garage door from slamming closed

Door Closer was a blessing
Easy to install, adjust and operate, with clear template for right or left hinged door. It successfully isolated kitchen cooking smell and cold air intake, making the rest of the house much more comfortable without a constant reminder for everyone to keep the door closed. One snag: I ordered a white closer and received a grey closer and I liked it!
