Saves everything from bugs and freezer burn.
I am not a prepper by any means, but I started using these specific bags with my food sealer. Now I am able to seal all of my powder mixes and flour, my loose spices, even my coffee. It takes a moment to make the different size bags, but I make extra of the three sizes I use the most, which is a true time saver. Absolutely saves items from bugs and freezer burns.

Same as name brand.
I do a lot of vacuum sealing. The Bonsenkitchen vacuum sealer bags work exactly the same as the name brand but at an affordable price. Making buying extra food or even in bulk economical. One thing I do with them is par cook extra potatoes and coat with butter and seasonings then freeze them on a sheet pan. Then vacuum seal them. When it's time for dinner I drop the vacuum sealed bag still frozen directly in boiling water for 5 to 10 mins. Cut the bag open and pour directly onto my plate. Very convenient!

Didn't expect this
These bags are a lifesaver. We recently had a tornado that knocked out our home power for over four days. It was because of these bags that our entire freezer did not thaw out and spoil. The thickness of the bags allow for easy bending and doesn't add much to the effort the machine takes to vacuum seal. Quality is good and easy to use but my only dislike is that the width is a little too large to fit my machine so I have to trim the top of the bags before they can be sealed. Its not on the bags but I would have LOVED not to have to take this step. Otherwise, value for the money is good!
