Q: Are these clips to use on thick hair?

Not real thick hair unless you’re just putting up the top half. I have thick and long hair and it didn’t hold all of it. It holds all of it together if I put it up in a tight bun and clamp it from the side. But just like a twist it won’t hold. It’s got a good grip and holds really well but it wouldn’t hold all of my hair. They are a little too heavy as well considering the weight if the hair too.

The package never tells you it just says metal alloy. But it’s not just aluminum alloy because they’re heavier than you’d expect.

Q: Is this item easy to use?

YES, They are easy to use. The clips open almost 180 degrees versus . The teeth and long enough that the keep a good grasp. The spring system opens wide enough to grasp all my hair. these strong sturdy hair claw hold my hair tightly all the day without feeling too heavy and don't slip.
