Bright as a 40W halogen. Very "cool" colour temperature (slightly blue).
These are good and bright, and slim enough to fit in most light fitting unlike some bulkier LED G9 lamps. The brightness is about the same as a 40W halogen. The light has a slightly blue hue which is rather clinical, unlike other cool white lamps I have used which have been very "white". This may be suitable for a more modern setting than my dining room! It's certainly not yellow like a halogen. I could not hear the noise other reviewers mention ( and my hearing is fine) so perhaps this occurs only on some samples.

Not equally bright or equally reliable.
Bot disappointed really. Had these a few months now and one has failed - flickering and only about a quarter as bright as the others. Replaced it only to find the new bulb seemed considerably brighter than the other two that had been in a few months. Bought these thinking they'd reduced energy use but starting to look like a false economy.

Would NOT recommend
Took ages to arrive. Bright light but fitting extremely loose and bulb was very wobbly. Popped out of fitting and light went out a couple of times. They did not seem safe so I threw them away. Had read about some safety issues that had not been explained so I would definitely NOT recommend

Not good
In order to get the quality of light I had with 2 normal bulbs I think I'd need about 10 of these LED'S. They're very poor.

A LOT bigger than the halagen version but nice and bright
A LOT bigger than the halogen version but nice and bright. The best thing about LED bulbs is you'll no longer get that burn mark on your wall, there's litteraly no heat emitted from them.

Good replacements for G9 bulbs but be aware they are bigger.
The bulbs come from China, so take a few days, but they arrived as specified. Perhaps it's not clear in the details, but they are bigger than the original G9 bulbs, although they fit in my lamp fine. They really are cold white as stated - that will take a bit of getting used to!

Very bright light!
Very bright, low energy. Perfect for the kitchen as it gives optimal light, although I wouldn't recommend it for the living room, as it's not the kind of light that you can relax to.

Excellent though too long to fit into bathroom light fitting
Excellent though too long to fit into bathroom light fitting, great in security light though. In error I gave poor ratiing earlier but I was referring to another order for GU10 bulbs from another supplier which were awful.PSS
