My Go-To Unagi Sauce – Always Perfect!
I’ve ordered this Kikkoman Unagi Sauce multiple times, and it never disappoints. The rich, sweet-savory flavor is exactly what you’d get at a sushi restaurant—perfect for drizzling over grilled eel, sushi rice, or even stir-fries. Mostly sushi though! The 11.8 oz bottle lasts a while, but it’s so good I often run out faster than expected.

The besttt!!!!
I was initially skeptical about purchasing this sauce for my sushi, but I am thoroughly impressed by its exceptional flavor and delicious taste. I had anticipated it would be salty, similar to soy sauce, but that is not the case. It surpasses hoisin sauce in quality, and I must say it is absolutely delicious, with a perfect balance of savory and sweet notes, and not salty at all. It has a pleasant kick, but the savory flavor dominates, and I will definitely purchase this again. 10/10 👍

Good
We use this for our sushi bake at home. We usually go with a different brand but they're out if stock. This brand is not a sweet unagi sauce more salty/savory, so it's different than what we expected but still good. It's a hood back up to have. It's thick not waterybut not too thick...syrup like. Can use with stir fries, sushi etc.

Tastes just like sauce at the restaurant.
I can't actually afford sushi, but once in a blue moon I treat myself anyway. So I decided to make my own. I bought the nori, some white fish, and sushi rice. I made tempura batter, and dipped and fried the fish. I chopped up some asparagus, julienned some carrots, put out little pinch bowls of soy sauce, wasabi, and pickled ginger, then roll roll rolled my roll, and voila!, sushi! All I was missing was that delectable sauce that the restaurant drizzles over the sushi rolls. So a-hunting I did go. Over the river and through the wood. Over hill and dale. Why couldn't I find it?Well, I was looking for Eel Sauce. That's what my favorite sushi place calls it. I couldn't find Eel Sauce anywhere. Not even in the fancy supermarkets. Not even on Amazon.Until I noticed that on Amazon, every time I entered "eel sauce", this sushi sauce came up. Could it be this simple and obvious?Out of options, and desperate for le piece du resistance for my sushi, I decided to roll the dice, and my credit card. I ordered this Sushi Sauce from Amazon. I figured that, at best, it might taste ok. At worst, I'd have wasted my money and thrown it in the trash.Lo and behold, this Sushi Sauce is delicious. Just like in the restaurant.I still can't have sushi often, even though I make it myself, because rice is seriously high in carbs (a diabetes no-no). So sometimes I put this sauce, just a little of it, on a stir fry of mixed vegetables, maybe add some chicken. Yum.
