very good cage but know your animals minimum space requirement
i have had this cage for 5 years now and i feel like i should write a review because its been so nice. its not heavy so its easy to move, ive had zero escapes, its quite sturdy and still going strong after all these years, easy to take apart and clean thoroughly. i cant speak for the quality of the additional items like the ramp, ledge, water bottle, hay feeder bc i did not use these things but the cage itself is quite nice. i initially bought this for my hedgehog and it is perfect hedgehog size! if youre looking for a hedgehog cage look no further this is the ideal. it also fit her giant hidey bed, wheel, litter box, and food and water bowls. for a cage bottom liner i really like piggy bed spreads and highly recommend them. currently i use this as a cage for my rescue ferret but he only uses it when its bed time or i have to leave the house. its a great size for a single ferret, bed, and litter box however please keep in mind ferrets need space to run around and play and explore. ferrets tend to prefer multi-level cages but this will work as long as they get plenty put of cage time. during the day my ferret spends all its time in a large play pen. ferrets are excellent escape artists and i am pleased to say that we have never once had an escape using this cage. the doors are very secure! i think this cage could be suitable for a single guinea pig but i am not 100% sure their space requirements off the top of my head. guinea pigs should really be housed in pairs however so this may not be a good option. if youre housing a very small rabbit like a baby or a holland lop i think this is a suitable bedtime cage but just like the ferret this is nowhere near enough space to run and play so youll need a larger play area that they can spend majority of their time in. i think any rabbit bigger than 4lbs will find the space quite cramped and would require something larger. i do not know the care requirements for chinchillas but i would imagine this would be too small based in how active i know they can be. just remember to always look up the space requirements of the animal you are buying a cage for before you purchase and youll have a happy healthy little friend. but i can tell you with 100% certainty if you have a hedgehog they will love this cage!

Great value easy assembly
I didn’t really read the specifications on this so I was expecting something on the smaller side. Maybe 2/3 the size of what I received. So definitely a super good bargain. Also came with a food bowl and a water dish and other things that are very helpful. It is really big. The guinea pig loves it.

LOVE IT
I'be purchased at least 5 different cages and this is the BEST one. Love the latches on the doors how they open, the upper level is a good size, and it's easily collapsable for storage or travel. Really sturdy and easy to clean.

NOT FOR RATS!!!
I had read reviews by others that this cage would work for rats... but unfortunately for us, our rats have been able to escape from it! At first I thought just around the corners at the top as the spacing is wider there - but then I saw one sneak through the regular bar spacing in the walls/ceiling. So no easy fix. A lot of money spent to find out that this then didn't work for us - so steer clear if intending for a rat. Note our rescue rats are 6 months old - so nearly fully grown - only a tiny bit more growth expected. A biologist friend says that the rats skull is the biggest spot - if they can fit their head through, they can squeeze the rest of themselves through. So not suspecting they will grow enough to stay put.Additional details - the ladder that clips onto the shelf - while it clips snuggly - it clips too snuggly. When taking it on and off to clean the cage, one of the tabs snapped off. It still works quite well with the one tab missing - and maybe I didn't quite have the technique of how to lift up the ladder to unclip it right, but be warned.I really wish this cage would have worked better for our rats - because overall it is a great cage with the two large access doors, the layout with the shelf, it is sturdy, easy to put together, etc. We are going to keep it for a bit longer - as we have positioned the cage so that our escape artists only seem to climb on top of the cage as there is no easy way down to the floor other than a big drop from where the cage sits. Fingers crossed we can make this work for the long haul!UPDATE: Additionally - the rats have started to chew through the bottom corners to create additional escape spots. We are now officially getting a new cage with a metal bottom and smaller spacing between bars. Expensive lesson learned.;-)
