Agrimony Cut & Sifted Tea by Evalar Altai Siberian Agrimonia Eupatoria Relict Herb 50g

I'd not tried Agrimony tea previously and was excited to give this a try. The tea is packaged in plastic which is stuffed inside a small cardboard box with Russian writing with a label on one side that gives directions for brewing and manufacturing info in English. The herb itself is tan in color and does not look particularly fresh, although had an earthy plant scent upon opening. I have moved it over to a tea tin for easier use. The taste is akin to nettle and maybe mountain tea? It is hard to describe. I cannot compare this to other brands as I've not had Agrimony in any form until now. The package claims it is just the herb with no additives. The price seems a little high but I am enjoying it so far and may consider purchasing in the future.

The packaging must be a requirement to get through customs as this product is imported from Russia. The bag which contains the dried product is cellophane that tears easily so be careful or store in a different container. Such limited information on this herb other than perceived benefits and a warning about not taking for long durations. This product is in a loose-leaf form and is for making tea and drinking with a meal. The taste is almost buttery, thinking of wild grasses that are slightly sweet and quite nice. You know the one you pick on a hike and chew while walking. The aroma from the bag is somewhat similar to grass or hay. Not exactly inviting but it is well worth a cup of tea.
