This was the perfect choice for the occasion. Our neighbor said she wanted an alligator (not a real one of course) so I thought I would surprise her with one. My wife put it in the best spot in their pool birdcage so our neighbor would see it when she came out to the pool. The inflatable looked real enough that it scared the crap out of her. After the initial reaction she loves it. It will be great for their pool too.

Bought this to keep ducks from landing in our pool and it does the job well! Was concerned it may be too small to scare the ducks, but it’s perfect as they do not land in the pool any longer and he (we call him Vinny) takes up little space.

I wasn’t quite sure what to expect when I placed this order. For the price, I didn’t expect a full size croc. When I received the package in a small bag and opened it to find an even smaller very thin package, the first thing I thought of was how a few reviewers said that they were upset that it turned out to be so small. I opened the package and proceeded to inflate the croc by mouth. It inflated very quickly and after looking at it for a minute or two decided that I really liked it. It looks good, great detail. When they said that it’s forty inches long, it’s a little misleading maybe because the tail curves back toward the front of the body. There was one croc from the same company where the tail goes straight back and it still says forty inches. It does seem to look longer but the curved tail one that I got looks (also with an open mouth) a lot cooler. I just wanted it for a prop and for the price, I’m happy with it!

While I love the ducks to visit my swimming pool, they leave unwanted remains that are not healthy. So I heard that getting an inflatable alligator works to deter them from getting into the pool. Normally they only stay for a few minutes but this year they hung around for several days. Upon putting the alligator in the pool, the problem was solved. They fly over and keep on going.

I run a pool company and we were looking for an affordable duck deterrent, and these alligators served us very well.

Cheap looking, smaller than described

So this is on the smaller side, but I saw the size (before purchase) & read reviews & tried out instead. I purchased for my pool to scare ducks away who think my pool is their pond, lol. Well 1st 3 days they did not show up but then they did w 9 baby ducklings !! Well I let them be for few days, realizing Alfie the alligator wasn't working well. Then since they have been back here & there, so honestly dont know if it works but I will keep in in just in case - fyi when the wind blows , it flies out of my pool of course. It is realistic looking in the details. not cartoonish. Thick material & floats well.
