Betty & Veronica Decades: The 1970s (Archie Comics)

100% Dan DeCarlo at his prime
This book is a stunner. Grab it, because when it eventually goes out of print, it'll be a collector's item.Every single story in this is pencilled by the legendary Dan DeCarlo. So the art is just drop-dead awesome; every single panel is a gem. The stories are fun, too. And the 1970s fashions, and even speech patterns, really capture the era.Bonus: It's slightly larger than those "jumbo" Archie digest books you'll find at the supermarket impulse aisle; it's printed on better paper, too: Nice bright white stock, which really shows off the artwork. Each episode is annotated with where it originally appeared, including the month and year. A nice touch. If you're an Archies fan generally, and/or a Dan DeCarlo fan in particular, you can't go wrong with this one.

Adorable
I admit, I was expecting the old fashioned newspaper print paper that's used for the Digest versions sold in stores. It's more a regular white printing paper. Much stronger. Colors are nice. It's Betty and Veronica. They're classic, and this is a small, but nice, little compilation of their 70's comics. My Mother is 81 and she adores it.Thank you.

Spot on
I’m a product of the 70s. Clothes, primarily jeans or embroidered pants were the thing of the times. The cars displayed were within the 70s time frame. Archie and the two girls don’t change their story line one bit no matter what decade they’re in.
