I’m no expert… but not having eaten meat since 1985 I’ve always been a bit worried about the lack of collagen… ? Vegan collagen additives are normally vitamins and minerals that boost but this product… I believe is trying to replicate the actual protein amino acids that actually make up collagen ?

The capsules are a good size and not too big to swallow like some. I have found my skin has become smoother.

A must for all the vegan people.I noticed something very strange while taking normal collagen and I am not sure if it's specific to me or not. I got a pimple, I scratched it, I shouldn't have, it started to heal. In the meantime I was taking collagen supplements and I discovered after a few days that new skin covered the healing pimple. I initially thought it just healed, but skin wasn't flat - it was brand new skin, but it was rounded, like it somehow grew over the pimple. And I left it alone but then I scratched it and oh my god. Collagen supplements caused skin overgrowth. They helped stretchmarks, wrinkles, muscles, skin recovery... but they also literally grew skin over a not done healing acne spot. Horrifying. It happened in two places on the face. It scared me so I switched to non animal collagen - this one. It's more gentle and while I was on this collagen I repeated the routine stupidly, but the issue didn't repeat. Skin is still recovering better and all that, but there was no overgrowth.This is a capsule, so flavor doesn't really go into it if you just don't burst the capsule. Standard size, no problem with swallowing. 20£ for two months supply is a really good price. I think this is the one I will stick to, the other one gave me a scare.

As such it provides a plant-based alternative to the usual marine and bovine collagen supplements.The capsules are white in colour and standard capsule shape and size. I have no problem swallowing them with some water. They have no discernible taste or smell, and I have not noticed any unwanted side-effects from them.The recommended dose is two capsules per day, taken with food and a glass of water. The bottle contains 60 capsules, so if you follow the recommendation above, it will last about a month.This supplement contains an amino acid complex from (unspecified) plant-based sources. Apparently it contains the same proportion of amino acids found in collagen, but without the animal origin. It is said to help generate vibrant hair, radiant skin, strong nails and flexible joints.Obviously it is hard for me as a solo reviewer to testify to the effectiveness of this supplement compared with animal-based collagen supplements. If, however, you want to try taking a collagen supplement from a plant-based source, it should certainly fit the bill. Four stars from me.

I regularly take a collagen supplement to help assist my skin and general suppleness. It's nice to see a plant based source added to the choices of bovine and marine collagen. We're given 60 capsules lasting 30 days. I find them easy to swallow and they have no taste.It will be impossible for me to judge if they have an effect unit I've been taking them at least three months, in my opinion. The manufacturers make bold claims about their efficacy though.Vollagen is the brand name of a complex of amino acids manufactured in the same form as collagen. It's made in the UK and used by several supplement suppliers, with Vegetology being one of them. I applaud the aims of Vollagen, but I do question the reliance on opinion presented as evidence. Vollagen proclaims remarkable results, yet relies on an "efficacy study" that in reality turns out to be a questionnaire given to only 55 females between the age of 30 and 60. That's not evidence, that's a tiny set of opinions from a minority subset in society, with a big dose of placebo and a splash of cognitive bias. This is why we have double blind trials.Forgive my rant there, I'm possibly being pedantic and geeky. It's perfectly possible Vollagen is everything and more that is being claimed, and I actively hope it is, because I'm taking it. I welcome more science in the meantime. It would seem... logical.Plant based proteins and supplements will play an increasing role in our diets, I think, and that's no bad thing.Four stars.

Firstly having now purchased a wide range of supplements over 8 daily to be exact I find the labelling and bottle design to be the most clear and easy to read layout and text size, they have done a really nice job is the text and I also really like the additional information under peel back sign which explains the difference and importance of this product.The next great thing about this product is the size of the pills and the smooth case they are in which makes them much easy to swallow so a great bonus....especially as I am needing to swallow 8 in total a day across all my supplements.I just like knowing I have a easy to intake what my body needs as I grow older and my vitamins and minerals and supplements are becoming more and more important to me.Will continue to buy this product and very happy.

I chose to get Vollagen for my vegan sister, who was excited by the idea of getting her first collagen for vegans. It arrived in perfect condition, the bottle looks cute as well as information as any high-quality vitamin would look and pleased to say that she only had positive feedback to provide. There haven't been any after-taste or side effects, her hair and nails seem in a better state and she started noticing skin improvement too. Passed with flying colours.
