it's a big jug
i cut the top off and made a vortex fountain out of it to top off the other water features in my front yard.it looked a little wobbly on top after cutting the spout off, but once it was full of water it worked just fine.

Works, but too expensive
Search Amazon- You can get TWO food-grade plastic 5 gallon carboys filled with Spring Water for the price of this ONE empty plastic jug. Wish I had researched it more. Poor value.

This product is being used for wine making. So far so good.

Lightweight, easier to maneuver than glass
While the carboy scrub brushes are not recommended for plastic, the extreme weight difference from glass carboys makes the hassle totally worth it. I can literally hold an empty one in the air with one pinky. Agitating with dish soap is way easier than glass, and gets it clean. I’ll still use the glass I have, but will probably replace as needed with PET.
