Having already been using the Dockcase Explorer Edition I wanted a smaller version, so when I saw this Dockcase Portable I knew exactly what to expect!The same high quality, the same smart screen data, and the same high performance, in a smaller overall package!Used with a Sabrent Rocket 2TB 2230 SSD, I am averaging speeds of 1050Mb/s write and 950Mb/s read, which is taking the USB-C 3.2 Gen2 interface to its limits! No issues with cooling either - performance was maintained even after prolonged use....In summary then, as for the overall design, the Dockcase enclosure is just as flashy as the full sized Explorer Edition in the Dockcase range. It provides all the benefits of the larger unit, but packed into a smaller physical frame, perfect for 2230 sized NVMe SSDs. Bear in mind that does mean less capacity mind, up to 2TB, rather then the 4TB that the Explorer Edition can handle, but again, if protecting your data is a priority, as well as seeing all that speed, health, status and usage information, coupled with that all round good performance, then they don’t come much more portable, and much more feature rich then the Dockcase Pocket. A solid performer thats easy to recommend!

If you are in the market for a small SSD enclosure, this one from Dockcase boasts some very impressive features.Made of rugged material, the enclosure is very small making it easily portable in a pocket or bag.Additional features such as power loss protection and the screen are not found on competitors and provide the user with additional insights and confidence that their data is protected.I recommend this enclosure highly for anyone looking for a small portable SSD.

Very small very well-made good speed but with long files it tends to slow down due to heat but would recommend it

This is a fantastic piece of kit, nice metal construction with a great weight to it which will protect the SSD. Installation is super easy and it comes with the required tools, and a spare screw. The finest details have been looked at with this product, the screws are decorative and the finish on the metal is really nice. It also comes with a braided USB-C cable, and a braided loop, both of which are also high quality. This is well worth the money if you value premium products.

A really smart SSD enclosure with useful health information such as temperature, amount of data read/written. The display is just gorgeous and becomes quite a talking point when other people notice it. It's basically just an external SSD enclosure but with a quality aluminium enclosure for excellent heat dissipation.It's really easy to install your SSD but just make sure you purchase the right size and type of SSD!A little on the expensive side but with the built in supercapacitor to prevent unsafe disconnection, it's worth it for the piece of mind.

The Dockcase Pocket SSD Enclosure works correctly and really fast, performs with almost 1000 MByte/sec during complete surface scan connected to USB 3.2 Gen 2. Overall build quality is excellent and in addition to its own display, it is possible to monitor SSD status (health, temperature, performance and complete S.M.A.R.T. status) easily.

Functionality wise of this ssd enclosure is amazing, easy to read screen. Storage capacity wise offers up to 2tb which is plenty, item does suffer from a little bit of heat transfer which can affect the speed of transfers which can be annoying. Other than that it’s does what it’s supposed to do. Looks great, fits neatly into my bag.
