I was concerned about loose knifes in the drawer with other utensils, so I ordered this block. I was worried that my wife wouldn't like it. But thankfully we are both very pleased with the look and quality of the block.

Very good - much better than the pre-slotted block I had before - simple to clean - large space for lots of knifes etc. Heavy, well made

The unit is made out of wood and is heavy. So it wouldn't get toppled with knives. The plastic bits are easy to clean and it's easy to put the knives in and out.I feel the knives can cut the inside edge of the wood with long term use. Keep that in mind when putting the knives in or taking them out.
