No more destroyed boxes.
Have you ever tried using aluminum foil for BBQing? It can be a real hassle when the box tears, making it tough to pull out and cut the foil. I wasn’t sure about this at first, but after using it, we just toss the box out on the first day of getting a new roll of aluminum foil or Saran Wrap. And with the adjustable size options, it doesn’t matter what brand or product size you buy - this has worked great every time!

Does not work.
I bought 3 of these for personal use, Aluminum foil, parchment paper, saran wrap. It will not cut any of them straight, you have to rip it, it will not keep the roll (a standard size) in place. parts fly out. saran wrap ends up a wadded mess. even the aluminum foil ends up ripped in 2. I do NOT recommend; I am asking for a refund. Do not waste your time or money.

Definitely for foil ONLY
I bought 3 of these because I didn't pay full attention to the word Foil in the product title nor pay full price. These cut foil but you have to kind of slam down the top if you want to be sure of a cut. I use 2 foil products, one of high quality from Reynolds and the other thinner from Dollar Tree. I tried parchment paper in the 3rd Wenko cutter and it was totally ineffective. I then tried Glad Clingwrap in it but my roll was too high capacity so I couldn't close the top. Pretty sure it wouldn't have cut anyway. There's too much gap next to the blade so products that don't tear as easily as foil just fold down into the crevice and pop back up intact. I shouldn't have to push down so hard and so suddenly just to get this to work even on foil but I'm sick of bending boxes so I prefer this. They have enough length adjustments to make pretty much any roll fit but watch the depth if you bought a very high yardage roll. The generous length adjustments also means they're quite a bit longer than the normal box of foil so might mess up your kitchen drawer of various rolls. I do like the look and quality so I'm giving my 3rd Wenko as a gift. I also have a Chicwrap brand dispenser for Saran/Cling wrap which works great but I wondered how long the blade would last cutting foil which I use a lot. The specific foil version uses the same blade as for the Clingwrap according to my research. I find this Wenko dispenser satisfactory for foil.3-5-2021 update:Been using this thing at least once a week since I got it. I put my Dollar Store foil in this green one and my pricey Reynolds foil in a white colored one. Now that I got over my stupidity that I can only use this for foils, I love this product. The cutter is holding up very well to frequent use. I upped my rating to 5.

you must "click" (push down) VERY firmly... AND let it come back up, Then pull to tear
This needs a bit better instructions, you must "click" or push down VERY FIRMLY on the top to operate the cutter, let it up, THEN pull out the foil. I was very disappointed at first, and was just about to pitch it, so I went online to read reviews and find out what I had missed, but there were none. I have another dispenser which I absolutely LOVE, and it cuts with a slide bar, so I was thinking about getting one of those, but I really love that this is plastic rather than cardboard, and it has a clear window that allows you to see how much wrap you have, and it is slimmer and lighter than the other cutters so it fits in my cabinet better. I wound up looking this page again, and I saw "click" in the title. I dug it out of the donate box, and put the foil wrap in it, and tried to figure out the "click". IT says "click" and I had pushed down and heard a click noise, and still, the wrap came out in shreds. On my other brand wrap cutter, it has a "click to lock" for storage, and it requires a very firm push down to get it to lock, so... connect dots, I tried the same type of push for this one on the foil, voila! You have to push down very firmly on the top so that the teeth pierce through the foil before you pull, this "perforates" the foil. then you have to let up or the foil stays caught in the plastic, once you let it up, the foil tears easily. I think I like the slide mechanism better, it is definitely more intuitive, but as I said I like the size, composition, and design of the case on this one better. Now that I've figured out how it works, it is back in the drawer filled with foil and I am happy. The lost star is for the frustration because the instructions are not clear.

Work nicely
It does a good job cutting the plastic wrap or aluminum foil. The only downside is the side that holds for the role inside the container sometimes pops out, so it makes a little hard to unroll. I noticed it more with the plastic wrap.

Unclear how you insert roll
Am i crazy? I could swear the instructions said to insert the roll with the plastic wrap or foil pulling from below and the Wenko video has the wrap positioned that way, too. But when i inserted my roll of foil like that, i never heard a click. Plus, the dispenser would not fully close afterwards -- was that a defect along with the absence of a "click"? Thinking the instructions must be wrong, i reinserted roll with foil pulling from above and when i pressed down, i heard a click and the trimmed foil came out nicely. Still, the dispenser would not fully close -- a big annoyance! Overall, i find the dispenser to be bulky, clumsily designed and not a good value for the price.
