I'm not French, so I'm definietely not an authority on "French Gray," but I do have experience with non-nationalized color identification, and these are definitely more brown than grey. These are greige at BEST...I ordered several grey covers, and these are not grey by comparison.

I love these covers! They are excellent quality for the price and a really pretty, neutral color (I got the French gray). Fit my 20 x 20 inserts perfectly. Not only look nice, but feel good. I bought once, and had them for about a month, but they were ruined in the wash by another item that had velcro on it. Worth buying again!

They are not true to size. Too loose on pillows that are stuffed true to size. The material hold a lot of lint but very soft.

I wouldn’t call these a grey they are more of a natural linen color like my couch however they are worth every penny!
