These drain strainers work well. Fit well in the sink drains. Heavy enough to stay seated in the drain. Captures food particles and other items that you don't want traveling down the drain. Easy cleaning. So far material is durable and looks nice even after continual use.

I got these to replace the typical kitchen sink strainer that didn't keep small pieces of food from getting in the pipes and requiring regular clean outs. I am sooo glad I got these - they catch all the food and water flows through without backing up in the sink. Plus, they are so clean looking (much better than the typical sink strainer) and easy to remove and clear out food bits. I like the one that has holes in the metal better than the one with a wire strainer. The one with the wire strainer is harder to get all the food out from in between the wires. The other one, the food just slides out in the trash. Still, they both look good and I'm wondering why it never occurred to me to get a different sink strainer before this.

Very well made, durable and not cheap looking, easy to clean and use, standard size. The only reason i am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the wire mesh is very dense, and it literally does not drain anything but water, so as it may actually be good for the pipes it needs to be lifted/raised (not easy) every time you use the sink.
