Nice ultralight with some backbone
I love the rod. Has enough backbone to drag them up the bank. Sensitive enough too feel most bites.

Nice rod for the price
For the price this rod seems really nice. It's even got the hook keeper that the higher end poles have

Good rod but …
This rod is good, however you can’t muscle any fish over the side of the boat or flip anything in the boat the rod may snap … it casts great and I sensitive… but it’s a little more delicate than I like .

great rod poor at best, delivery.
second time ordering this item. and again in a plastic bag with a small piece of cardboard on the tip.this time 5 ceramic eyes are broken. I would think a big company like this could place it in a tube or something to protectit. very disappointing.

Great travel rod
I paired this up with the matching Lews reel and it works perfect for Ned rigs in creeks and rivers. Didn't break, doesn't come apart and had good action. Not mind blowing but not junk. Got exactly what I paid for

Christmas
I use the same rods and reels myself, so I added new ones to my grandson’s equipment

you get what you pay for
This is my first Lew's rod. It is inexpensive, so I guess you get what you pay for. With a 2500 reel, the balance is not right. I might try a 3000 size. The grip is uncomfortable to say the least. With my normal grip, I am holding the plastic pieces that tighten down on the reel seat and was reminded of the hard, sharp edges with every cast. The rod guides are a bigger problem. There is an awkward looking transition about midway, almost like spinning guides to casting guides. The line (mono, 6 lb) often tangled around the eyes. On the good side, the blank seems very good: good casting and no whiplash that many light action rods will do. I've only caught a few small bass and the rod handled them very well. Overall, though, I am baffled that the grip and eyes--both standard items-- are such poor design. I might try Lew's again, but, I'll check it out in the store rather than online.
