Did not work with stock rams 1970 mustang
The stock rams on the mustang we are working on did not work with these tube's but could also be because ford in their infinite wisdom made the threads for fittings to screw in out of plastic.Do yourself a favor and just replace the rams too when you go to do this

Worked okay
These are generic hoses that fit lots of vehicles. I installed them in my Mustang which had developed a slow leak over time. These hoses are both the same length. In my case, one of the hoses was too long (compared to the original) and so I had to route it differently. The other hose was the correct length. The longer hose loops toward the front of the car now, and nearly touches the seatbelts now, but I think it will be okay. I've put the top up and down several times and I don't think it's rubbing on anything, but it's very close. The connectors are a little bit of a different shape than OEM, so I had trouble threading them snugly into my original cylinders, and I ended up buying new cylinders that had metal threads instead of nylon threads, and then these hoses fit the replacement cylinders just fine. After finishing this job, I do recommend just replacing everything at once. You do have to be careful not to overtighten anything. I used rector seal T-2 pipe dope to ensure a good connection.I guess for the price, these hoses are fine. If I had to do the project again, I'd probably pay the extra to get some that were cut to original length because it would make the job easier.Alas, the custom ones I was looking at were a 2-3 week backorder, and these were available in 2-3 days. and quite a bit cheaper. As long as they hold up, I'm satisfied.
