Mold Max Silicones are tin-cured silicone rubber compounds that have exceptional working properties and library life. Mold Max Silicones feature Smooth-On’s exclusive “Libra” catalyst for long library life. Mold Max silicones can be pigmented with Silc Pig silicone colorants. Pot life for the pourable silicones is 45 minutes and they cure overnight at room temperature. Vacuum degassing mixed material using a vacuum pump and chamber to remove entrapped air is recommended.

Works great!
The finished product works as advertised. It is strong and durable. I made a 3 pen blank mold and it works very well. I used the whole kit so there wasn't any real need to measure it out. There is a jar of silicone and a bottle of catalyst. Mixed the whole thing together, poured it, waited for cure, then you have yourself a mold of whatever you casted. I didn't need mold release or anything. Worked just fine. Even the plastic container I used was reusable after the mixture dried. I pulled the silicone off and it was as good as new. Very simple to use. I did use a vacuum system to remove air. Overall, I am really pleased with it.

Good quality silicone
Relatively easy to use, just need a scale. The silicone once cured is amazing quality!! Amazing tear strength and brings out all the details of what I was molding!!

My husband use this product a lot for his molding and it is very nice and durable....the quality of this product is awesome and it is easy to use and the molds have plenty of life. We did not get any compensation by reviewing this product, I just like to share our experience in case there are people that is wondering. My husband can explain things better because he is the one using this a lot, but he is really busy to write a whole description on why he likes this product, but if you have a question...ask and I will make sure to get the answer for you.

Great product. Get yourself a scale!
This is a great product. It’s only a sample size, but you can make a fair number of small projects with it. Note that the two parts need to be mixed by *weight* so you will need a gram scale to use it properly. (Smooth-on also makes a similar product that mixes by volume.)

Very pleased with this product !!!!!!!. Fast shipping. Easy to use. I didn't even need a pressure chamber to de-gas the silicone. My mold for my new clown mask came out wonderful.

Great for the size and price! Recommend for beginners or if you want only a small mold.
Perfect for small to medium sized objects that need a mold. I used it to make a Pokémon ball and some other small figures with no prior experience on how to mold. Depending on how much hardener you use can speed the hardening process, but not enough and it will not cure correctly. This product has a long shelf life and the trial size is great for the beginners wanting to try out mold making.
