Great little KVM
Great little KVM.This is the set up I am using this with so that you have an Idea of how it works and if it would work for you.HP Zenbook with Docking Station & a zoomstorm PC each connected to the KVM with the supplied cable that has a USB, 3.5mm Audio jack and VGA adapter then a Dell monitor connected to the KVM.Into the KVM I have connected a Logitech Unifying receiver for the MK520 Combo, doing it this way leaves you with a spare USB port that you can use for a USB stick or any other peripheral that you would like to connect, It also has a 3.5mm audio port which you can either plug speakers or your heaphones into. You are also supplied a little switch that plugs into the KVM that you push to switch between devices which is a nice touch compared to the older KVM's I've used where you needed to select the device from the KVM box itself.Over all I think it is a very nice device that If needed I will buy another if I need to set up another desk in the same way, I would like to see some way to mount the device though & potentially some alternative colour options but that is just me being picky. So for the price of ~£30.00 if some one needs this setup I would highly recommend it the Belkin F1DG102U OmniView Switch KVM.

Poor quality remote with no software controller
I connected this switch to 2 Windows 7 64bit PCs without any problems. However, the remote control button is of cheap and poor quality plastic that will not last for long compared to the switch itself. If this button stops working, then I'd have to trash the whole switch. I tried to download the software controller from Belkin website to allow me to use keyboard keys but the software failed to recognise the switch on both PCs. I can't find any information on how to avoid the cheap remote and simply use the keyboard. This is why I can only it 1 star. If anyone knows which software driver that works with Windows 7, please let me know.

Does what it says but plan layout.
It is simple to connect and works without hassle. The only tip I would suggest is to plan the layout of your equipment in advance. Check the distances between the switch and your two computers and peripheral devices because there is not much cable length to play with.

Belkin F1DG102U OmniView Switch
I have had KVM switches before one a Belkin and one not the Belkin one was far better and lasted longer. So I bought this Belkin F1DG102U OmniView switch. Which is great and I like the sound jackplug on as well. It is simply just plug and play brilliant and the new fob switch great just to swop from in my case from Mac running Tiger to PC running Windeows 7. I t is well made and simple to install. Great!

Just Works
Replaced an earlier model which failed after seven years. Just works and allows me to switch between PC and laptop without issues.

working well on windows XP and 10
Set up to work with windows xp and windows 10. Operating well. A bit tricky getting it to recognise the windows 10 computer because when I switched it on I left it on the lock screen without logging in and it quickly went to sleep!

Does what it should
Works really well. I used a wireless USB keyboard mouse unit and so I used the second USB plug to connect a mass storage unit. Works a treat and now both my PCs have access to the external storage.
