Top quality.
I'm now on my third one and will continue to buy these. I am very abusive towards my rules, and these are the ones I've found to stand up to it the best. They're a rule, a swarf clearing stick, a deburring tool, and a cleaning tool.Excellent quality and value. Flexible enough to get it where you need it, and rigid enough to do all the other things I need it for.

Shoddy
This item is definitely a cheap knock-off and not worth the money. It had obviously been bent and straightened out at some point. Fortunately, It still does what I need it to do so I have not bothered to return it. Life's too short.Avoid it.

What a delight...
If you appreciate fine engineering and want something that is obviously not made 'over there', this is it. What a fine piece of craftsmanship. I would probably pay more for such fine workmanship. It even has a hole to hang it so it won't get smashed up lying on the work-bench, and is professional enough to say 'Standard at 20oC' -- yes, those of us who are engineers will appreciate that, and the other notes: "1 Metre = 39.37in." "1 inch = 25.4mm." Complete with periods after the abbreviations! This ruler is a work of art "Made in England". I think I will visit their website and see what else they have that I can justify buying. Feels so nice to buy something not made in you-know-where by slave-labour.

Meh Ok but I wish Rabone didn't change the finish.
I've used Rabone chrome faced rulers for 25 years and have three of them now. This one is more of a brushed finish like you see on chinese imports rather than the matte finish so not so good when using with laser levels. Solid construction and good markings though.

OK rule. Made in China sadly.
Paid a little over the odds in the hope that it would be Made in England. Nope, imported from China.

You wouldn't believe how far out cheap rules are!
Having bought steel rules in the past, it's easy to wonder why you should pay out a little extra on a more quality example. Well, it depends what you're doing of course but I've found that some of the unbranded versions didn't start exactly at 0 and when you're measuring a length that's perpendicular to an edge, that's a must! This and the 150mm/6" version are spot on and make a huge difference. Don't skimp on your measuring tools, I value my time and so I happily pay a few quid extra to know that the part that's taken me 4 hours to produce is the size that my rule tells me it is.

A mighty 12 incher!
This metal monster is sturdy and rigid to the end. And while it is a useful addition to the journeyman's toolbox, where it really shines is in the bedroom. The Rabone can lay a satisfying spank across the buttocks of the most obstreperous partner. A must-have for the would-be master of his craft.

Best copy of a "Rabone" rule I've seen!!!
When is a Rabone Rule not a Rabone Rule? When the rule say's "Made in England" and the label says "Made in Enland". It's the small things you notice, like the poor finish to the curved end that make you think. Best copy I have seen though. Oh and by the way "rulers" are kings and "rules" are what you measure with.
