Works as described, but be warned if you are trying to do something similar...
It works as described but... I wanted to hook up a nice gaming headset to my landline for work. The volume is extremely low because the phone line does not have enough power to properly drive the headset. This is not an issue with the adapter but rather an issue with the whole system. I also tried buying an amp to boost this sound but it overloaded my phone line and the home phone would not turn on. If you're having trouble hearing then just buy a phone meant for the deaf and hard of hearing. They have volume controls that do what I wanted and aren't that expensive.

Damaged product

Squealing
Caused a “squealing” noise once attached.

Great for what they do, but connections are reversed from the graphic on the connector.
Great for combining a mic and headphone connection into one. However, I found that the picture labels on the plug (one for mic and one for headphone) were reversed, at least on the first three I purchased. I have yet to test the other three I bought.

Doesn’t work.
This product did not work with my Cisco phone. I could hear the other party but they could not hear me.

Works well with headset but can't use it with a mixer
When connecting to a berigner mixer, I'm receiving weird sounds. It should allow me to send the audio output to an input 1/4, RCA or XLR on a mixer. When connecting headphones or speakers it's ok. Also, sometime the sound quality is a bit altered when connecting a Mic for the third party we're talking with. It's working btw with a polycom phone that has RJ9 (Polycom IP335) or any other standard phones.

No go with Fortinet VoIP phones
Just doesn't work at all with my phone. Maybe with other models?

Microphone line does not work
Very long delivery time but that may be partially due to mail strike happening at the same time. Once received microphone side of the cable does not work with the Corsair headset and standard rj9 phone jack. Very disappointing.
