Lightweight but Water Resistant, Not Waterproof
Definitely water resistant, not waterproof. It’s not a bad tent but you will definitely need a rain fly or another cover plus a footprint/groundsheet/garbage bags laid on the bottom if you’re using it in heavy rain. I used it in a thunderstorm and 2 corners had a pool of water and tons of condensation. 2 people that are 5-7” max can fit in here without bending their knees to sleep. I’m 5’6” and it is great for a 1 person tent with room for a backpack unless it’s raining. There is almost no ventilation, just a small vent at the top and 1 screen door, both which cannot be used if it’s raining. Good starter tent because it’s lightweight but spend just a little bit more if you want to use it more than 2-3 times. Great for a beach day or for kids. It does come with a rain fly but it’s only about 12”x12”. 1 loop in center to hang a lantern/headlamp. Very cheap materials but pretty good and high bathtub (the bottom part) for rain splash . All water came in through tent fabric, the rain fly, and condensation.

Damage in the roof mesh part
I put the tent together and it has a small tear in the mesh part on top. This will not be helpful for keeping the mosquitoes, flies, etc out of the tent. I would return the tent, but I am away and will not be back in time to return this product. The other tent that I purchased is without damage..

I have 2 of these for my sons (10 & 11) for scouting and they can set them up and take them down independently.

Lightweight, but not very robust
Very lightweight, but the seam that the tent poles go through ripped the first time out. Very short, anyone even close to 6ft tall will be too tall.

Fantastic little tent for the price.
I would probably give this 4 stars but I see a couple other reviewers have given this $27 product that does not claim to be waterproof negative reviews for not being waterproof or arriving with a small defect but they didn't take the time to contact the company or Amazon to return or replace the item.I backpack all the time. I've got the typical more expensive, ultralight tents but I'm a mom and to get my mom friends to go with me and introduce their kids to backpacking I was loathe to use a Nemo or Big Agnes tent for little kids so I thought I'd give this a try. This item is everything and exactly what it claims to be. I first tested it by myself on an overnight in the Sol Duc Rainforest during a rain storm--it was a doozy--but, knowing I was in an untested, non-water-repellent, single-wall tent, I used my UL rain fly. The ground was soaked but the flooring of the tent, which is waterproof, withheld the water and I was dry. Then my friend and her 2, 7, and 10 year-old hiked out for a 3 day trip on the Washington coast. The kids carried the tent and their sleeping bags, the tent held up brilliantly to the 4 days and 3 nights of wet weather, wet kids and sand ...lots and lots of sand and loved having their own tent. I'm going to treat it with NikWax just to see how that works but here in the PNW, single wall tents aren't usually a good choice anyway. This tent with all bags, poles, and stakes weighs in at 44 oz (2.8 lb) on my scale and wraps up very small. I wasn't expecting much and was surprised overall.
