Hawaiian Sun Pass-o-guava POG Nectar Powder Drink Mix From Hawaii, 3.53 Ounce

Last year in Hawaii I this tasty, refreshing drink, & I loved it. After coming home I couldn't find it anywhere. Finally found it on Amazon & ordered it immediately. It's great right out the can, but even better with ice IMO. The price seemed fair. I think about what I paid in Hawaii.

I get to HI often to see my children and grandchildren. POG is my absolute favorite. When I'm stateside I miss it terribly. The powder makes delicious POG. The only problem is I drink it too fast.

After living in Hawaii for many years and having moved to the Mainland, I was excited to give this version of our beloved Hawaiian sun a try. It is more economic and practical than having the cans shipped. Unfortunately, although I followed the directions exactly, it tastes like a barely flavored shadow of the cans. It was just way too diluted. It tasted like water with a hint of guava thrown in. If I made it again, I'd probably double the amount of mix or half the amount of water. Or better yet, just order the cans.

I found this drink mix while searching for powdered water flavorings and mixes that use natural fruit juice powder. When I saw the beautiful label, the ingredients, Guava, and that it came from Hawaii, I had to have it. It was such a hot summer and I was transported at the thought of a chilled, tropical, fruity beverage. I bought two packets which equaled one standard drink pitcher full of juice at my desired flavor strength. This cost roughly $16 plus some change and while it was so tasty I actually discovered that my local liquor store sells these packets for over $3.00 less than on here.

The product was amazing, as always. It was very fast to ship and exactly what we were looking for.

My kids love Hawaiian Sun drinks, and even though this product was very expensive, I thought I would try the powder. This is one packet that only makes one quart. Furthermore, it doesn't dissolve well with water and all the powder settled on the bottom. After shaking and shaking, the drink still tasted watery and there was sediment on the bottom. Huge waste of money.

I'm only writing this because I got an email specifically asking for my feedback. So I thought, why not be honest?We really like the canned products of this juice, but this dry package is not very comparable. We made one liter of juice from the packet exactly as directed on the package but the juice tastes almost like flavored water. It would need at least two packets, if not more, to taste like proper juice.I only purchased one packet because I thought paying over $6 for only a liter of juice was too expensive. Now, to think of paying over $13 for liter of juice to taste correctly, it feels even less worth it.So while I do think the taste would be great if done right, this product was ultimatly worth not the money, and I will not be buying it again

Its fun my home so I'm happy with it. Im just so glad I can now get Items from Hawaii it's little home care packages to myself! I love it thank you so much!
