User manual is almost non-existent, but it's easy to figure out how to program it.
Purchased this on behalf of my employer, we needed this to monitor radio traffic around a place of work. Good radio, not used on site yet but once programmed it seems to work well. We're only using this to receive, it seems to do a good job of that.

user friendly
The 256 channels give me plenty of options, and the air band feature is great for aviation enthusiasts like me. It also includes a NOAA scanner, which is really helpful for weather updates. The LCD colour display is clear and easy to read and the buttons are well-labelled and easy to navigate. The radio is powerful with 5W output and works well over long distances, even in slightly hilly areas. It's easy to use and set up, and the build quality feels solid.

Not bad radio
This is average radio with a very poor manual, if you don’t know anything about Ham Radios it would be either trial and error or checking YouTube, I did notice a fairly fast battery drain, I also think you will need a new antenna as the one supplied is dreadful but once you get to know the device get a better antenna and bring with you a power bank this radio would be useful so I do recommend it in that dase

Very short range
The radio looks good and feels sturdy and well built, however I was very disappointed with the range. In city (buildings around) could barely get 500m, after which the reception/transmission drops significantly and at 700m it becames useless. In open space, that goes up a little, but couldn't get anything decent if over 1.5km away. I guess should have gone for something with a higher power.

A great starter
This is a great starter 2 way radio before you spend a lot of money just to get use to how these work. Great value set in my opinion and definitely worth a look.

Good radio
Good quality and well made radio. Not the most beginner friendly as not many instructions or guides. One you figure it out it’s easy to use and works well.
