I don't know but it is a very nice quality and well made.

Very well made product….sides are a thin padding…. Top is a thick firm padding

Q: how dark is the grey? very dark or medium dark grey?

I would call it almost charcoal. My couch is med. Grey and the ottoman is darker. It's a nice compliment to my sofa. I'm very happy with it.
