Works great. Delivered on time. Doesn’t leave marks. It’s not an antiperspirant, but is a very good deodorant!

Have been using this probably about 18 years maybe longer. I used to use regular deodorants before that but it got to the point they kept causing skin irritation in my armpits so when I found this it was great. This gives me no irritation. I have tried using several other deodorants since then in the past years including Tom's and a couple other 'all natural' type deodorants but they all cause skin irritation or even rashes. This still works fine for me. Surprised more people don't use this. For me they last 6 months or longer. When they start whittling down to being smaller I go ahead and just get a new one because once they get down about less than 50% original size they do develop small cracks or holes in the crystal itself which causes it to be rough so it's time then to get a new one. Yes I recommend you try this. Just don't expect it to smell like anything there is no smell so you have to start out with a freshly washed body. This will not cover up the odor of BO if that's what you're looking for it just won't do it. It works very good at preventing the growth of bacteria in your arm pits which is what causes the stink. If you bathe daily and then apply this immediately after bathing then it will work for you too.

Depending on your individual needs, the crystal may lasts much longer than 1 year.I was introduced to Crystal body deodorant from a cousin that was in the beauty insdustry. That was over 16 years ago. At the time, I purchased a 4.25 ounce crystal body stick deodorant at Walmart. Since I only used it for underarms, once a day after shower, and wet it with a couple drops of water, it had lasted all these years. I still have and using it. However, the bottle that contains and hold the crystal is slowing breaking apart. I will remove the left over crystal and use it for traveling.I'm glad to find a great bargain here. 4 bottles will last me for a long long time. I probably end up sharing them with family.Asians have been using this crystal for centuries. It works very well, that is, like everything else, if you're not allergic to it. For me, even when I sweat, I realeased no odor when using the crystal. Recently, my sister was convinced that it worked well and have been using it too.Another friend, an auto mechanic, had terrible foot odor. Due to embarassment, he never took his socks off, even in the hot summer weather. I gave him a small-size crystal to use on his feet. He was really hesitant at the beginning. But knowing that it was just a natural rock, he gave it a try. He no longer have foot odor.Just love this stuff. I highly recommend it!

This is a fine alternative to try if you find yourself wanting to avoid certain ingredients or reacting badly to commercial deodorants. However:Crystal isn't an antiperspirant. As a human, you are supposed to sweat, and that is supposed at some point to smell. Crystal will reduce sweating but not eliminate it. Just like it will reduce body odor, but not entirely eliminate it either. I find it has an effectiveness of about 12-18 hours max. And If you are active, you must bathe and reapply. Always to clean skin. For the record, other deodorants don't work on stinky pits either. Start clean!Most importantly, no one has ever edged away or told me I stink. I have worn Crystal for years. Your body adjusts, I recall it took about a month, during which time you'll need to be prepared to wash your pits and reapply as needed.Although it avoids known carcinogens and hormonally active ingredients like paraben found in other commercial products, It is not aluminum free. I don't know why this misinformation is out there. Right there on the label it says natural salts and ammonium alum (which among other things is used to retain crispness in pickles and was consumed by earlier generations in some quantity). This isn't the same form of aluminum compound found in other products, but if any aluminum is an issue for you, Crystal is not an appropriate choice. Look into recipes for making your own deodorants.It is not reaction free. Some people respond to simple stuff, not artificial fragrance or other ingredients. I have a terrible contact reaction to many things including commercial deodorants. I can tolerate Crystal, as long as I don't break a sweat. If I sweat much, I also break out in a rash, though at a vastly reduced level. So I don't plan to wear it if I'll be working out, instead I dab a bit of coconut oil, arrowroot and witch hazel on and plan to shower immediately after.The packaging sucks, but they do make just a rock without the annoying dispenser. Any way you buy it, Crystal is extremely inexpensive and long lasting, and this multi-pack is amazingly cheap because it'll last about 4 years. Seriously. I have never actually finished one because usually I wind up dropping it and it breaks before it is used up. The longest I have used a stick before breaking is over a year, making this a very frugal choice.
