The best egg slicer
This egg slicer doesn’t slip on the counter top, allows you to cut the egg in two directions and is the best one to buy in my opinion. Easy to clean, too.

More than just an egg slicer
Whenever possible I buy OXO kitchen products as they are well made, non slip and good value for money - this egg slicer is no exception.It’s larger than my old slicer so enables the eggs to be sliced vertically and horizontally. Excellent idea, as I used to get c10 round egg slices of which c4 slices were all egg white, but with this OXO slicer if you slice from top to bottom all of the oval slices have some yolk in them.I have been experimenting slicing other foods, it’s great for mushrooms, tomatoes, strawberries and even sausage but not so good for kiwis or cucumber - my Mandoline slicer is best for these larger items (OXO Mandoline of course).

Worth the money
Since moving to the UK 3 years ago, I had 2 different egg slicers which broke quickly. I didn’t want to spend £10 on a good quality tool so I wasted money on those cheap brands.This OXO egg slicer is worth the £10 I paid for it. It is well made, non slip, simple to clean. Don’t but a cheap egg slicer—— but this OXO. You won’t be sorry

Does the Job
Bought this to replace one we had for a while and where the cutting wires had distorted. Went for a heavy duty slicer and so far it has been fine. Early days though but so far, so good.

Slices too small
I love Oxo products. They're well made, long lasting and easy to use. But this one just doesn't work for me. Maybe if you boiled eggs to bullet-hard it would be fine. But if there's any give in them, I find the wires just squish the egg before vaguely cutting. They're tight enough to cut well but just too close together to work properly. And if there's any liquid yolk at all, it shoots out over you.Probably fine for 6 minute eggs but doesn't suit my needs.

Excellent egg slicer!
This is an excellent egg slicer. OXO always makes high quality products. It is very sturdy-the rubber grips on the bottom helps it stay in place on the counter. It is very easy to use. It is easy to clean, it is dishwasher safe. Overall, an excellent product that I highly recommend!
