Great camera not a long battery life.
I recently had a break in in my car in the parking lot of my condo. I found this was the only solution because these break ins were happening in the wee hours of the morning and no one ever gets caught. The camera I purchased was Reolink eco. I looked at some others but this one fit the bill. Itās TOTALLY WIRELESS unlike other cameras that are falsely advertised. It was easy to set up &It works like a charm. The app was easily downloaded through iOS. It catches all motion coming up my driveway. I recently seen the mail man delivering a package. I was able to use my phone to speak through the camera and communicate with himFrom my phone I can view live activity near my home while Iām away. I also caught neighbors visitors blocking my driveway which happens often I was able to tell them to move their vehicle before it gets towed away!š the only thing I recommend is buying the solar panel or else youāll find yourself having to take the camera down and recharge it frequently because the battery is inside and cannot be removed. Solar panel only works at optimum in direct sunlight outside of that the camera wonāt stay continuously charged š. If you place this camera in a high activity area like I have the battery will drain quickly Iāve noticed. Other than the battery life itās a good buy for the specs and the price point. āŗļø

***Updated*** Connection headache, was minutes away from returning.
Updated 11 May 2024 - Ordered another one of these and told a neighbor about my mixed experience. He wanted to try one so I took the new one over and went through the setup with him. Everything went without flaw. He was so impressed with it, I left it there. So we are back to the 5 rating and I am ordering another for the one I needed. I am still not sure what caused my problem but if my new one does not connect, I plan to delete the app I have been using and reload it in case an update got corrupted or something similar.Original review----To be fair, the camera is pretty good but the problem I had was getting it set up and working. I have been using several models of Reolink cameras for years and never had a problem until now. Since I already use the app, I should have been able to just add the camera. No matter what I would do, the camera would not connect to my network(that already had several working cameras). I boxed it up thinking it must be defective with something wifi. I decided to take one of my working cameras and reset it to make sure it would reconnect. It didn't, now my frustration doubled. I was using the latest android app on a Samsung A71 5G phone so decided to try and connect with a PC(windows). The old camera connected fine so unboxed and tried the new camera and it connected. Then tried the phone app using LAN connection and it did recognize the cameras and added to the app. The low rating is only because the camera shouldn't be that hard to connect. To the software engineer that decided to change something, "If it ain't broke, DON'T fix it." It may not make sense, but I would still recommend this camera now that I know I can get them to work. From the reviews, this doesn't look like a common problem.

Eco is affordable and works as advertised, but for thinner fields of view.
We already had two Reolink Argus 2's installed and we're very happy with them, decided to try an Eco due to the Amazon Sale. Even buying a solar panel and memory card, price came out almost 30 bucks cheaper than the Argus 2 with Solar Panel combo.I am happy with it. Motion detection, picture quality, and ease of set up are all top quality, just like the Argus 2. Our house lights interfear with the night vision, but give plenty of light for color view at night. The only drawback is the smaller field of view (110 deg. vs 130 deg. ) than the Argus 2. The difference is very noticable. I put the Eco on a section of my house that is narrower, so it works perfect as placed.I plan on buying more Eco's for the narrower sides of the house, while I'll keep Argus 2's for the wider areas.I highly recommend the Eco for narrower areas, but the extra 20 to 30 bucks for the wider view offered by the Argus 2's is worth it for larger areas.
