Fan was too loud
Got this for some LED strips above my kitchen cabinets. It worked fine but the fan was quite audible so no good for my usage. Returned no problem

Great product
Fan is a little noisy but cracking driver with no high pitch squeel like some transformers.

Rubbish quality, cut corners, missing components, fan runs continually
I bought this to replace a near identical one which failed after a year or so.First thing I noticed, the fan is on continually. It instantly ramps up to full power as soon as there is any current draw above about 0.5A. This is clearly not thermally controlled, but controlled directly on current draw. The power supply it replaced had thermostatic control of the fan. Having a fan running continually is basically unacceptable in many applications.I looked inside, and found that the two thermal components were missing, and their slots had been short circuited. I've attached photos showing the comparison of the old and the new, clearly showing and identifying the missing components.Replacing these components works quite well - the fan at least doesn't run until the temperature increases above 45C.Other observations - the missing thermistor slot was shorted with two desktop staples. Several screws were stripped. The thermal paste on the transistors was inadequate. All in all, this is a thoroughly "Chinese" product. 90% of the way there, very close to being a good power supply, but to save a few pennies they have utterly destroyed the overall quality.Next time, I'd buy a quality controlled component from RS or Farnell.I've still given it 2 stars as it does, at least, provide the rated voltage, and is quite stable.
