Battery Cover for Surron - Battery Protect Carbon Fiber Pattern for Sur Ron Light Bee X/S Electric Dirt Bike

The Surron X battery cover is made from lightweight plastic and was easy to install. The cover has a sleek appearance with a textured carbon fiber print. It says it's designed to protect the battery from water, dust, and sand, but unfortunately, parts of the battery remain exposed.Despite its stylish look, I found the material lacking in quality, as it broke after just one day. For a product intended to safeguard the battery, durability is crucial, and this cover fell short in that regard.

This is a decent battery lid and basically the same as the stock battery lid with one exception. The exception being that the hinge portion of this lid does not fully enclose the hinge on both sides. You can see in the photos, one side of the hinge isn't a full circle, its a half circle. I have no idea why manufacturers do this because it tends to make the clips on the hinge pins get stuck in the half circle and this makes it really difficult to remove the clips. There is nothing more annoying that struggling with stuck clips for a long time. I attached a photo of what happens when these clips get stuck. They get crammed under the half circle of the battery lid and this makes it nearly impossible to get a good grip on them with pliers.Besides that, the faux carbon fiber print on this lid is good quality. It looks clean. I did notice some extra adhesive that leaked on the bottom of the battery lid. This isn't a huge deal since you can't really notice it when installed but its a bit sloppy.Overall this battery lid is pretty much the same quality as the stock battery lid. It just has less plastic in the hinge area which can make the hinge clips get stuck. It would've been nice if they just fully enclosed the hinge pin to avoid this. Its an OK battery lid and fits the Surron just fine. There are just some minor quality of life considerations that could have been better addressed with this product.
