Does a brilliant job even for a medium sized room. Music playback less good
Bought this to replace a (much cheaper USB wired) corporate Plantronics device that I'd lost. Started a physical + Skype meeting yesterday using the standard corporate "spider phone" in the room, after 5 minutes many on the phone couldn't hear people who were far from the phone. Connected the Jabra up to the Skype call (using the USB dongle on my Windows laptop to make it wireless, it connected within seconds), put it in the same place and everyone could hear. Amazing. Also very clear to hear people speaking and went plenty loud enough (we had about 12 people in our room (around 6m x 6m)). Was on battery for about 8 hours, didn't drop the connection once. Really impressed with this, although it's not cheap.I've tried it with music and the sound quality isn't that great so whilst fine as a conference speakerphone for <£100 you can buy much a better sounding music speaker.

The best conferencing speak I've ever had
It's portable, has a long battery life and sound really good for the size. I now have 2 in link mode and this is as good as any basic stereo system. It really is stereo two and gives quite a punch with the bass. On the conferencing side, I am completely blown away with the speech quality, very clear, removed background, not yet had a complaint from others hearing me. Going back to laptop speaker is like comparing a truck with a roller skate. Don't just take my word for the quality, look at other reviews, this is truly a gem for the frequent conference caller on the go.

Great for an office for working calls so you aren't tied to a headset and can wander about
If you take calls from home or work but want to talk from anywhere in the room and have people hear you well this device is the one to get. Works great and the audio is crisp and clear. Not ugly either, fits in easily with decor and has a low desk profile too.

Very good call ball
My office were given one of these but we needed more so we purchased another two. The audio is excellent - much better than the spider phones in some of our meeting rooms.

Disappointing
EDIT : January 2020 : I've used the Jabra 710 extensively as a hands-free mic-speaker for 'phone calls and I'm not at all impressed by the audio quality. The audio from the speaker is 'bobbly' and the bluetooth connection to my 'phone (less than 1M away) regularly disconnects. It reinforces my opinion that the Jabra 710 is simply not worth the money.EDIT : March 2019 : I have just used this as the mic/speaker for a web conference meeting and to record the presenter and the audience. The presenter was within a 3M radius of the Jabra unit and was speaking at a volume that you would expect for an audience of around 30 people. The recorded audio is not good at all - the sound levels ramp-up at the start of each sentence and ramp-down at the end. It's not as bad as 'clipping' (where the audio is cut abruptly) but clearly the Jabra is trying to switch between mic and speaker and is not getting it right. Next time I'll have no option but to use a wireless mic for the presenter. Overall this device is a big disappointment. It's price point far exceeds its capabilities/bugs, and I would definitely not buy it again.===This is a relatively expensive conference speaker and, in overall terms, I'm not that impressed by it in terms of some of the functionality/design nor the overall value for money. I don't mind spending above average if the product is outstanding, but the Jabra 710 isn't outstanding (opinion).Pros :Good output sound qualityIntuitiveGood connectivity options (USB, bluetooth, Jabra dongle)PortableStandby and talk times appear to be good.Cons :Listening to myself on recorded conference calls I would say that my voice sounds tinny/thin/processed, which is disappointing bearing in mind that the Jabra 710 product page has an audio representation of the sound improvement which the Jabra is meant to deliver. There is no EQ adjustment for the device. The mute button is on the opposite side of the bezel to the call start/stop buttons, rather than being between them. This makes it more difficult to use if the unit is lying flat (rather than propped-up on its stand) for group conference calls as you have have to reach over the device and slightly downwards as the bezel is cut-back beneath the face of the speaker. The battery indicator does not indicate the remaining charge. The Jabra software continuously states that there is a software update available, however, this never disappears irrespective of how many times I install the software available (always the same software version number). There is no indication whether this is an OS X software update or a speakerphone firmware update. Very annoying. The unit frequently has an audio delay of half a second or more when using it as an output source when watching streamed video, i.e. iPlayer or Netflix, and using Bluetooth or the Jabra dongle. The lag seems to disappear when using the USB cable connection to watch the same content. Very annoying.I'll keep it but if I was buying again I'd probably save nearly £100 and opt for the 510 if I still chose Jabra, or simply buy another manufacturer/model completely.Unfortunately I cannot wholeheartedly recommences this product.
