Item was exactly as described. I’ve been carrying it for a couple months now and I am very happy with it. Maintains shape well when I carry it in my back pocket and it gets sat on. Also room for some business cards. I did remove the pen loop simply because I didn’t use it. For the price I’ve not found better.

Easily fits in my pocket, holds a small notebook and pen, and also fits my vaccination card and work ID. Perfect for my needs and has been holding up admirably to daily carry.

If you use Field Notes or the cheaper Field Book, you need this to prevent it from falling apart. I got the cheaper Field Book but by the time I had only used about 3 pages, the cover was falling apart in my pocket.I was debating whether to get this or the leather cover but I am glad I got this one. For the price, it is a great deal and durable enough. It is probably slimmer than the leather one as well which is important because it's quite big. The pocket on the flap is very useful for a credit card or a lens cloth or something. I'd definitely just get the same one again when it wears out.

Very shocked at the quality for the price. Very nice and well made cover for Field Notes or other notebooks. It comes with a nice pouch in which the cover is in. It also comes with a free Field Notes notebook and pen. There is a side pocket where business cards or scrap paper fit, but instead I’m able to fit my 2018 The Standard Memorandum and maybe even another notebook behind the Memorandum as there is a slit just like where the Field Notes notebook is. The only things that I would like to see in the future are, the pen loop moved over to the middle a bit more to possibly fit another notebook more comfortably. But other then that the pen is not the best but I doubt anyone would use it. In my opinion for 16 bucks this cover is great!

Nice cover, comfortable to carry and seems durable.But I'm returning it for two reasons: I don't need the front pocket -- all I really wanted was a cover for the Field Notes to keep them from being beat up in my purse. The pen on the inside just makes it thicker.I think it would be fine if you're carrying it by itself, or slipping it into a laptop bag, but it just doesn't work for me.Note: This cover came with a Métier notebook inside, not a Field Notes notebook. Field Notes are better.

For the price, it's not bad at all, I had to do some of my own stitching to reinforce the edges of the pocket because it was coming out. The "vegan leather" as they call it is cheap, but that's why it's inexpensive. This should last for a while. When it does finally give out, I think I'll probably spring for an actual leather one. The design is good tho. fits my field notes books, and some cash, and some cards. Just what I need it to do.

I like the material with this more than the leather counterparts. I use it as a cardholder and doodle-book! I'm not sure I would trust it to hold my credit cards/identification, but I have a card carrier on my phone for that. I'm able to hold a mechanical pencil and a felt-tip pen in there.All around good product!
