I have to take medication at night that makes it difficult to wake up in the morning. I use several music alarms along with a Phillips dawn-simulating alarm clock (which I love). However, those aren't enough. I keep an additional desk lamp on the nightstand with this light, and once I'm 50% awake and groggy, I turn it on to help me wake up--and seriously it works. Within about 5 min, I'm awake enough to get up and start moving around. The light is pretty bright but not blinding, and it definitely helps my brain wake up.I also use this during winter months to offset seasonal depression and fatigue. Same process, great results. And much less expensive than some similar products.

I bought these lightbulbs when the days were already lengthening and the sun was brighter. I can’t speak to the effect on our dreary spirit but I can say these bulbs make our aging eyes young again. All lamps containing these bulbs are on when the sun isn’t shining and both my husband and I have commented on the difference in our vision. Reading, looking at screens, crochet have all become easier to see. I will continue to buy these lightbulbs for this reason alone and see what happens during the long dark winter months next year.

For the price, it seems good. Very white light, not warm toned at all, and comes on to full brightness immediately. I bought this for my bedroom and living room because everyone is affected by the fall/winter lighting in my house. The light in my bedroom has multiple bulbs for different purposes.
