The seller was very communicative and helpful in ensuring I bought the right size for my medium sized cat. He sends a sizing card for use before opening the product so an exchange can easily be made, which works both ways. I found in the end I needed two different sizes, the 1.5mm and the 2mm, to deal with claws of different diameters. I’ve tried other types of clipper, but these are the ones that give me confidence ghat I’m not going to clip too much off and reach the quick. I’ve been using them for a few months now and wouldn’t change to a different type. I’ll try to post this review on both the sizes in case this only appears on one!

Are Zen Pet Nail Clippers as good as the claims made?I finally bought a pair for my Cookerpoo who has always suffered the greatest “nail clipper fear” and yes they worked. This time he didn’t seem to realise that I’d actually trimmed his nails, he was totally chilled! I have now bought 2 more pairs of graduating sizes for the other dogs and won’t be changing brand any time soon.They do cut quietly, quickly and without injury, just follow the instructions but do download/ print the size sheet before buying. My dogs are now so relaxed when I trim their nails, a relief for me and them. Product doesn't work. Too small to clip the nail of a miniature pinscher. Difficultly arranging a return too.

I have different sized dogs including Chihuahuas, toy poodles and min schnauzers. I purchased one pair to try, loved them, so I purchased a full set (except the very largest which i don;t need) Yes it was expensive to purchase the full set, but they are worth their weight in gold in my opinion, I can choose exactly the right size for each of my dogs, and I havn't nipped a quick at all since using these. The dogs are not as nervous with these as they are with normal clippers, and they are so quick and easy, and safe. I don;t use them for puppies, just adults as they are a bit bulky for small pups. they are perfect, a very good buy and recommended.

Best clippers I have ever used. It's also the first time I have ever used animal clippers. I saw a video and it looked so w=easy to do with no pain to the animal I thought I'd give it a go. I'm so glad I purchased these clippers they are so easy to use and my kitten had no idea what I was doing. I'm happy my furniture is saved and that I was able to give my kitten a trim with no pain to him what so ever. I highly recommend the Zen Clipper to anyone with any pet.

we ordered these after reading the other reviews. but our findings were not anything like the others. for a start off we took our time sort out what size so we downloaded a copy from Zen. We then tried looked at it and ordered two sizes down from the top,as we have two Rough Collies the youngest one 8 months old. When they came we tried them on our puppy and her claw would not go into them.properly, then on trying them we found the amount of pressure was so that you could not operate them ,so we had to sent them back, if you are thinking of buying take your time as we thought we had to get the right size .

This are a bit pricey, but so far are worth the money. I bought the XXS and XS. The XXS work well for the front and back claws of my 8 pound kitten and for the front claws of my 13 pound cat. The XS work best for the back claws of my bigger cat. So I am keeping both sizes.Now the reason these are awesome, once you have the right size they are quick and easy to use. My kitten is still resistant to having her claws clipped, so I do it while she sleeps. I can now get 5 or 6 snips before she stirs. So I can get both her front paws done in two attempts. With other clippers I could only get 1 or 2 snips at a time.For my older cat these are more efficient and I don’t have to worry about cutting too close.Additionally they don’t crush the claw.

These nail trimmers make grooming sessions with my fur baby sooooooooo much better! Like 1000% better. For realz.Turnip and I both used to be so scared and stressed out when it was time to cut the kitty's nails! It was pretty dang awful. I was always so worried I would clip into the quick of her nailbed and hurt her, as my princess poopmaker kitty is really small and a really squiggly wiggly little crybaby.First trimming session with these was shockingly fast and stress-free. I was able to swoop in and clip each nail properly on the first try, without needing to wrap her up and restrain her in a towel while she cried, like usual. The very first clip was probably the shortest amount of time I've ever taken to do a clip - her nail just slid in like butter, to exactly the right depth, then the cut was as clean and clear as sparkling springtime mountain glacier water dappled in sunlight and angel dust. :)However, the nail trimmers are kinda ugly tbh. I wish they were shaped like a shark or pterodactyl or something so they fit in better with my home decor theme. Or at least a purple glitter version to match Turnip's collar. Ahhh, I suppose kitty and I could have a crafting party to jazzify it up a bit. I had order the incorrect size for my pet bird and needed to return the larger pair. (Order XXS if you have a GCC). I thought I would have to pay again for shipping but their insert states they want you to be completely happy and would return the clippers at no extra charge. So I called their customer service and left a message that was immediately returned. A pleasant lady called back and told me to keep the clippers or donate them to a shelter and that a total refund had been issued. That was a lovely surprise! Thank you so much!I have used the clippers and they work great! Just be mindful to still watch for the quick as bird toes are very tiny. My bird let me clip all toes on one foot! As with other clippers, I couldn’t at times get near her with a pair. Thank you again!

I rarely write reviews, only when I truly appreciate an item, or if a product is all disappointing. While the idea of these scissors preventing you from cutting the nailbed of your pey is not as simple as advertised - the scissors themselves are still excellent. Cutting from all sides of a circle definitely makes it a more gentle experience for your pet, preventing my two dogs from getting skittish and pulling away as they typically would. The cutting is also silent which also helps.In order for these to work as advertised: "Cut the tip not the quick", you could only pick the size of scissors that is too small to cut enough, especially since some nails are thicker, cutting only the very tip on half or all the nails. That said, I still gladly give them 5 STARS for making it scissors as opposed to clippers, and for the handling/contr and quality of the cut. I highly recommend it for anxious dogs!Kudos to this idea of finally making scissors with an honest effort to make clipping safer and less stressful on our furry friends!
