PRO Retayne Color Fixative ½ Gallon | Best Liquid Color Fixative for Dyed Cotton, Linen and Rayon Fabrics

I have used this product for years. It is reliable and easy to use.

I make a lot of quilts and use this product to prevent fabric dyes from bleeding & ruining them. I wash after the quilt is completed & haven’t had any problems with bleeding. My biggest challenge is to remember to add to the wash cycle after there is water in the drum. I use a timer to remind me. Since I use so much of this product, I have started buying the largest bottle size.

As a quilter, I have been using Retayne for years. It does an excellent job of removing excess dye from fabrics. I test all my fabrics, and treat as needed with Retayne before using, so they don't run and ruin my quilts. I do recommend soaking fabrics longer than the directions suggest, as I have found that to be the most effective method.PRO Chemical & Dye is an excellent small business. They package the product securely, including wrapping black electrical tape around the lids so they can't come loose in shipping, and my orders always arrive sooner than estimated. In addition, I really appreciate that the bottles are cushioned with newspaper, not plastic, so I can recycle the packaging very easily.

The media could not be loaded. We make lots of quilts of the Quilt of Valor program and had several quilts get ruined when the colors bled. We use so many colors and fabric types Since we started using Retayne all of our bleeding problems are a thing of the past. So easy, to use, just put the required amount in with the wash and presto no running of colors. We LOVE it.

When sewing a quilt with 21 different fabrics and the dark brown and black, treating the fabric with Retayne is a must for me. There would be nothing worse than to spend $250 on fabric and over 100 hours of labor to have the fabrics bleed all over each other. Although you don't use much it is worth buying the half gallon.

I washed a small yard of fabric without using Retayne so I could show my family what happens. They were all thoroughly convinced that I need to have Retayne at all times for my burgeoning sewing business.
