The suction is incredible. I purchased the dealt battery powered shop vac and it was very anemic. Not the EGO vac. This thing has incredible suction. It's $500 but you get every pennies worth. It has a remote control that powers it on from the nozzle, it came with a power tool adapter for shop use, and the fine nozzle has a light in the end so you can actually see what you are doing under car seats and dark spaces. They really put a lot of thought into this. I get about 20 minutes of battery life out of this at max (turbo) power. I used it to empty the water out of my spa and it sucked it up better than a corded vac. Absolute home run from EGO. Love the drain, the extension storage, and the cool way you can quickly take the bag in and out.Great if you have a workshop and you want to run a vacuum without drawing too many amps on the same circuit with your power tools. Indestructible! Would buy again in an instant!

This is the best built shop vac I have ever used or had. The remote start and light is genius.

Bought this for renovations and we own 4 dogs. The suction is great for all but the biggest of renovation jobs, will it replace all that I use my 6hp ShopVac with a 2 1/2" diameter hose? No, not totally but for 90% of other tasks it's more than adequate. I Love being able to wheel it around the house to clean corners, vents, and furniture from all the dog hair. It does so much better than the 40V Kobalt one I own. The remote is awesome especially if you're using it as a tool to collect dust and the vac is hard to get to. WIsh filters were easier to get online, I've only found one vendor with them online and they are pricey. After a few weeks, the light on the vacuum wand fell off and won't stay on, not sure if it was supposed to be removable but great feature but now useless. I bought mine with the 2 batteries, as I have just about every other EGO tool and buying tools with batteries is much cheaper than buying batteries alone.

I received this vac about a week ago. It appears to be well made and thoughtfully designed. I had no problem following the instructions to set the unit up. I used it to complete a thorough cleaning of my wood shop. It worked great and I did not have to recharge the battery in the 1.5 hours that I was using the vac (at various speed settings). I will come back with a more detailed review after I have used this vac some more. I have a number of Ego products. They are all outstanding. This Ego vacuum meets the high quality standards of all Ego products.

Best shop vac ever used ... strong suction, rather quiet and coaster wheels. I have many ego products ..happy with all of them.

Tried a bunch this is thee best battery powered vacuum! It has above average suction power for most people on high (not even turbo) and turbo is pretty strong for bigger and tougher stuff.For reference I tend to vacuum up my garage daily and also clean my car. I can do both easily and still have more then enough battery.Let's not forget the wireless key fob that attached to your hose for easy off and on, love that feature. Lastly it's compact I can store it in a nook in the garage.

I bought this for use in my house due to having a lot of dog hair and also debris from a small construction project. I’ve used other shop vacs before and this one is definitely nicer than the usual ones found at big box stores. Specifically, the hose is higher quality, the controls are better located and more intuitive and it doesn’t blow out an annoying amount of air from the other side. The only slight complaint is the amount of time the battery lasts and the fact that the crevice tool doesn’t have on-board storage as do most of the other attachments. And, it looks like getting replacement bags may be difficult. I read that the manufacturer has told some other purchasers to empty and reuse the bag that comes with it, which to me is gross and disgusting so I won’t be doing that.

I think the cannaster could be smaller to make it easier to move around. Aside from that it works great.
