Excellent, well engineered mounting system
This is a review of the Maxtrax Flat Rack mounting kit, which includes two flat plates, a mounting pin set, and t-bolts for attaching to cross bar channels. This is an excellent system for holding Maxtrax recovery boards onto channeled cross bars. I appreciate the angled channels, which allow flexible fitting lengths between fixed cross bars. The shape of the pins is customized for Maxtrax brand boards. Other boards would need to have holes adjusted by drilling to work. All metal parts are stainless steel to avoid rust. The 17mm pin gap is designed to hold one or two of a specific Maxtrax model board, so verify that yours work.

Perfect
I am not sure about the reviews complaining about this product. Difficulty either installation, problems with the stainless steel, etc. My 17mm MKII mounting pins were perfect. The hardware was stout, the lock nuts were great, and the install went perfectly. A great product and high quality. Perhaps those who complained bought knock-off products? Buy the originals and be happy.

Buy M10 NUTS as well for this to work first time through
Nylon nuts did not work, bought anti seizing lube and 7/16 nut from HD, still didn't work. ordered M10s from amazon and worked like a charm

Works great, fits the Maxtrax Extremes with no problems. Make sure you get everything lined up before tightening.

Cracked ok first use
One of them cracked on first use. Just twisting it to lock, not like it was something it wasn’t designed to do. I’d avoid.

No instructions available
I like how manufacturers don’t provide any instructions on the packaging. There are two small sections that turn but I don’t know which one you’re supposed to use.
