I bought this to help prepare for the upcoming snowboarding season. It takes me a few runs to shake off the cob webs, and make my way out into the side/back country. I have been snowboarding for over 20 years, and wish I had known about this product earlier. I have never seen this sort of balance board in a board shop; and I'm not sure why.I thought that I could just hop right on the Vew-Do Flow and it be spinning in place. It is not that easy, and it requires a bit of getting used to, even for a seasoned board enthusiast. It's also a surprisingly decent workout, I was really surprised to be sweating after 20 minutes of messing around. The Flow balance board comes with a wooden roller that fits on a rail of the board, with stops at either end. The wooden roller is beveled so that you can roll onto the sides and practice heel and toe edge balance, while also being forced to balance forward and backward as the roller moves up/down the rail. It is not easy, and you can easily go too far (heel/toe) and hit the stops. It requires a bit of open space, and definitely a carpet/or large firm gym pad. I haven't fallen down, but I've had to bail many times, and I have gotten the wooden roller to fly.... definitely don't mess around in a room full of fine china.Vew-Do makes many different shape decks, 4 different wood rollers, and a foam teeter beam for all different board sports and different skill levels. I lucked out and picked the Flow, and didn't get to cocky and jump up to the El -Dorado. The El Dorado is round instead of beveled (Flow). The Zippy has small nubs on the end to stop the user from going too far heel/toe edge. Any one of these combinations would probably benefit anyone trying to get into a board sport, but you should probably do a little research and pick the right one for your ability level.

My old roomie used to have something like this back in 2004. I looked at a lot of different designs when trying find something comparable to what he had, and this one is pert-near dead on. The price is a bit much, I'll admit. You may be asking yourself why anyone would pay that much for a few slabs of wood that happen to groove well with a roller. The answer is that it was all meant to be. The flow, the roll, the holy mother of shaky shakes that come from this device are all you need to justify the dent posed to your pocketbook. And, just when you think you have this beast figured out, you can pick up a cat and find out how foolish you really are!

I recently heard of balance boards and took a chance getting this as a gift for my son who is a snowboarder. I looked at several before I decided on this one. This balance board is well designed and sturdy. The roller fits well with the track for good functionality. It works well on carpet. The boards provides a fun challenge. It is harder then it looks to use but my child was able to master it. All of my kids even the ones who do not snowboard enjoy using it. Since it is a challenge though there has been a fall off it.

First I wasn't sure how well I'd balance on this board, I was nervous purchasing a more advanced one such as this as my first board, but I made the right decision, if you are even lazy active you will want this one, not an easier one. Second, this is THE most used item in my house, we have it in the living room on a yoga mat permanently, and it is impossible to pass it by without giving it a go for a minute or two. Thirdly, movement is my therapy, I love to move, it's such a positive and beautiful thing. Instead of pacing around now I'm improving a skill. My friends all love to play on it too.

What a great way to kill time while working or watching TV...My sister got a different Balance board for my bro in law, I wanted something a bit more skateboard and snowboard like- this filled bill perfect.Very lightweight and small enough to tuck away, The only thing I wish is it came with a few different style wood blocks to mess with.A few weeks in, I have started to try jumping and other random things like spinning it heel/toe to train balance a bit more.

My order came in right on time...neatly packed and just as I imagined. Very happy with this product and so much more versatile than my Endo Board. Really like this and definitely suggest for the snowboard/wakeboard enthusiast like myself! Thank you!

Had one when I was younger. Now my kids and I love to mess around with it. Take it to work and the gym.

Tons of fun. Even our 4 year old loves it.
