While it is called chicken wire, it is made of a heavy plastic. It is easy to cut with good scissors. I purchased heavy duty zip ties (6 inches) as the included zip ties are not heavy duty. It worked perfectly to block my wrought iron wall inserts from invading skunks. It also blends perfectly with the iron inserts and gate, and I’ve received compliments on how it is su superior to regular chicken wire.

Okay. So. I'm not using this for chickens. Or in the barnyard of any sort. I'm using it to sift leaves. Why? Because that's where some fun species of jumping spiders live and I like to photograph them. So I bought this roll of plastic mesh because I needed something that wouldn't get all nasty when it gets wet. Then I cut it to fit an old picture frame I had laying around and voila! Leaves stay in, jumping spiders fall through, mucho happy photographer! Don't judge, LOL.It's easy to cut, easy to staple, world great for what I bought it for. Fancy leaf sifting!

Seems sturdy and easy to cut. Some edges are sharp so recommend wearing gloves.

I love it. It looks good on my gate to keep the cats out of my yard.

Works very well with plants that need a pole, as it is plastic won't rust so excellent durability, easy to cut with kitchen scissors. As I selected black material I expecting that will not be to noticeable when the plants grow. I really liked it
