Great value
I bought these because there are punch bags in the new gym that opened in my area. As i didn't want to use the smelly sweaty bag mitts used by others i purchased my own pair. The Farabi mitts are perfect for the job so there is no need to spend 3 or 4 times as much for something else. I boxed for many years as a younger man so am well aware whats required from a bag mitt, believe me these are perfectly adequate.

Okay for gym punchbag 30 second fast session for building stamina. Alright for the money.

Good for punch bag work
I started using these 6 months ago and have been using them 4 times a week on 15 to 20 minute bag sessions. I bought these relatively cheap mitts as I was returning to the gym after a while away and had planned to upgrade if I stuck at it. I’m really impressed with them; they are durable, comfortable and are very protective with the added bonus that they wash well on a hand wash setting. They look like they’ve got a lot of life still left in them with no stitching breaking or noticeable signs of wear.

Far too small
I got extra large just on previous reviews but I can't get the mitts over my hands with wraps on. I've given them to a young lad and I'll get another pair a couple of sizes up. I did order xl so I'll try again the mitts themselves are a good price for that style of glove and seem well made just up your size by 2 if you are wearing wraps (you should if on heavy bag or in any case imo).

Highly recommended
Just the heavy bag gloves I was looking for.I like old school gloves for the heavy bag work. Since my Everlast gloves got worn out, I started to search for new ones. This task turned out to be a hard one. It seem most buy boxing gloves. I've been taught that the more padded boxing gloves wore out quick and also, I don't like to use them on the bag. They don't have that snap. Too much padding...I had to tune these up a little bit. I punctured more ventilation holes and I also scissored away the unnecessary "hoods" for thumbs and cut the wrist wedge open for more air and comfort. The biggest issue with boxing gloves is the management of sweat. I always use a blow dryer (hoses for shoes) to dry them out after every training. All gloves tend to eventually start to smell but this way they definitely last much much longer. These are very sturdy so I predict they will last a great bit. They're cheap, so I'm going to order a couple of pairs for reserve. Perhaps I'll go for the other colors than black this time.

Ideal for light use on heavy bag
Bought these for 2 reasons1 - My Gym had finally got some heavy (Leather) bags in, which I was wanting to use2 - I didn't want to pay loads for first pairHow do they hold up? Well, I've used them for about 1hr or so in 20min bag workouts, once a week over last few weeks and find them ideal for my needs. I do not wear wraps with them but they are quite tight to get on so the little movement there is when my hands sweat is fine.People looking for something harder wearing etc will probably opt straight for RDX gloves etc, but for everyone else - whether Boxercise or like me a few mins a week on bag etc - I don't think you can go wrong with these.Obviously shop around and do own research but I took a punt on these also based on reviews and glad I did.
