I have a friend that’s an MTA train operator and just got promoted as a Super. He kept badgering me to take the test and one time told me that he saw someone in the Train Reading this book. I bought it, and I’m kinda glad I did. It helped me Familiarize my self about the questions in the test. Don’t get me wrong, the test was easy enough, common sense and some minor Arithmetic will help you finish the test. On this book, you will have 80 questions on the Actual test that I did, it has 60. The question is, how bad do you want to be a train operator? Wing it or Have an Edge against thousands of people vying to get the same spot?? The higher the score means, your name is on top of the list. They might call you 2 yrs to 5 yrs down the road, but your name is Up there. I took the Train Operator exam today and this book was right on the money. Almost everything that was on the exam was covered in this book. The only thing that wasn’t covered was spatial relations. Fortunately, most of the spatial relations problems were straightforward. The exam had 6 map questions that were similar to the questions in this book.

Highly recommend you purchase this book. Gives probable insight on questions that may be given on actual test as well as guidelines and procedures from beginning to end on pursuing a career as a Train Operator or Conductor.
