The media could not be loaded. The quality is good, but I would not recommend the figurines for small kids as some of the eyes are quite sharp.

This is a nice little set of vertebrate Sea Animals, with a good variety of different types.The models are small, most a bit over two inches, the largest about four inches - the dimensions given in the product's "size" image all accurate. Naturally, they are not by any means in scale to one another.However, they are well-detailed and all reasonably accurate in terms of the proportions and shapes of the animals depicted. The fin shapes on the three different species of shark, for example, the ridges on the leatherback turtle's carapace, the wrinkles in the walrus' hide, all are sculpted cleanly with a decent level of detail for small models.The painting on the models is also pretty good, giving the animals realistic colours and markings - my only real quibble would be that the barnacle clusters on the humpback whale are perhaps a bit of a bright, lurid yellow, rather than a dull, pale beige. The whale shark is maybe a bit too black, but the spotted markings are good enough.The eyes of the animals are painted correctly, on the eyes no less, rather than the roughly positioned blobs somewhere on or near the head-end that cheap, hasty paint-jobs favour. The tusks of the walrus left no pale, ivory streaks elsewhere on the walrus, suggesting at least reasonable care was taken in painting them.A nice set for anyone fond of ocean life, and a good starter for a child to encourage an interest in learning about sea animals.

These were smaller than I was expecting but big enough to not cause a choking hazard for small children . The size also didn’t take away from its play value and my 4 year olds were excited when they saw them. We have played with them in a sweets tub covered in blue wrapping and also in a fish tank with water . The children were engaged when playing so I rate them high on play value.The sea creatures are made of BPA plastic and felt quite hard and therefore durable. Despite the size the markings were well painted and the fins etc were well finished. There were no irregular bumps or rough edges .
