Highly recommend.
Excellent through and through. Temps are low, the speed is blistering, great price to performance, great at gaming too, just all in all an amazing CPU. I definitely recommend. But if you wanna squeeze out every single frame in gaming, look into AMD. Intel does its own thing and it does it excellently.

Great value cpu loads of performance for a great price.
After building my two Daughters some budget gaming pc's I decided to build myself one. The last one I built for myself was a i5 760 about 15years ago. I did initially buy the i3 14400f processor but I was quiet disappointed with the performance in comparison to a i5 9500f system in my daughters pc. I returned the i3 and purchased the i5 14400f and the difference was night and day. This was on amazon for a great price roughly £110, the processor had 10 cores and runs great on every game I have played so far. I run a rtx 2070 super with it and play at 1080p and always get over 60fps on max settings on all the latest games. I didn't bother with the stock cooler and use a thermalright aio which keeps the temps always below 60°c whilst gaming. These are great temperatures but I can't comment on the original cooler. If you are after a simple no thrills cpu at a great price then this is hard to beat. I know intel has had their fair share of issues with the 13th and 14th gen cpus and only time will tell but I have updated my bios to the latest software so hopefully all issues are resolved.

Very high temps even with 360AIO but the price vs performance is worth it.
First off , this thing runs hotter than a nuclear reactor but it’s very powerful!I have a 360 AIO and temps were around the 85c mark. After some testing in the bios of my MSI MAG Z790 tomahawk I found some settings were WAY too high for default , CPU Lite load mode was set to 22 DEFAULT! That’s insane. After more messing with these settings I now run at 65-68c under full load using prime95 and it happily idles at 28-29c at 1.5w or around 4w browsing watching YouTube etc… this cpu is definitely worth the price all day long and overall I’m so happy with it , coming from a i7 8700 it’s a HUGE upgrade.

Decent enough processor, be careful which supplier you buy from
I'm giving this four stars because I'm sure it's a great product but I've ordered the same thing twice and both times the package ended up getting "lost". In one case it got "lost" twice. I use the quotes because I'm not entirely confident that the supplier ever actually shipped it out in at least one case, and it's suspicious that the same item would fail to arrive (effectively) three times. Yes, I know I'm not actually reviewing the product but I'm writing this to point out that you need to take careful note of the actual supplier and make sure that somebody reputable is sending it.If you want a review of the actual product, you'll need to look elsewhere. The 14400F probably would have been all I needed for my 4700 Super system, but I ended up with a 14600K as it was pretty much all I could get at that point. Looking back on things, I probably wouldn't have gone with Intel at all given price/performance but this processor is unlikely to be a system bottleneck until you're up into 4090 or 5080 territory.

Solid mid range CPU (not budget as sites would suggest)
Many sites call this a "budget" CPU, but when you're looking at spending over £300 on a processor, that really isn't in the realm of budget, nor does this perform in the budget realm! I spent many weeks looking at what processor to settle on before I ended up with this one. After a tonne of YouTube videos, I realised that whether I bought this (14600K) or spent another £100 on the next in line (14700K), I'd get no more performance at 4K. In the end, as much as I'd have liked for my build to have had a 7800x3D, I find myself just as satisfied with this, as the real world difference to the eye in terms of gaming (literally a few FPS when hitting 100+) is impossible to see. I also like that the Intel range don't have the "spikes" you have to worry about when installing the processor. All in all, intel as a brand is yet to let me down and I've not had to return a CPU to date. Considering the first processor I installed in a PC of my own build was an I7 920, that's an achievement. Buy with confidence and keep in mind that these CPU's keep good value, in 3 - 4 years, you could probably sell it for 40-50% of what you pay now.
