A great KS1 exercise book
I have a 5yo daughter who has a real aptitude and love of maths so this has been perfect. Being in year 1, this book helps reinforce what she has learnt at school and also gives her a look ahead to what she can expect later in the school year. The exercises are well laid out with good use of colour. The exercises are bite sized, allowing her to finish a section at a time. This is a great book and you can be reassured it follows the curriculum. I'm happy to leave my daughter to it and she really enjoys it. At £4.99 (at time of review), this is excellent value.

Excellent home practice
My children's school doesn't do homework so I like to get extra resources so we can practice together - just a little bit at a time, especially during longer school breaks to keep them in good shape. I love that this book comes with a guide for parents, I found it very helpful. The difficulty is just right for Year 1 and the book is varied and colourful enough to keep my child interested.

Great Mathematics Practice Workbook
This is a practice workbook for Year 1 Mental Maths. It follows the National Curriculum, so should be relevant for all primary school children at the appropriate age (approx 5 - 6 years). The book is well presented, and well laid out. The questions are clear. Where pictures are used, they are in colour. There is an index of subjects at the beginning and the answers to the questions at the end. There are 4 mixed progress tests as you go through the book. Finally, there are 8 audio tests available by pointing your phone at the QR codes at the top of the page.Throughout the book, you write your answers in the spaces provided, and an adult can mark them.At the bottom of each page is a 'had a go', 'getting there', and 'got it :-)' summary smiley - useful if you need to identify areas where you should go through a page a second time.I ordered all 5 of the Mental Maths series, and have been really impressed by all of them.Price is reasonable. Thoroughly recommended.
