I am what I suppose you could call a confident crocheter...as long as it involves trebles and no pattern to follow! So I bought this kit with the aim of testing the whole notion of following pattern instructions and using stitches other than treble....What an absolute delight! Easy instructions, with clear pictures to check back to for confirmation. It was for me the crochet equivalent of a page-turner book - just couldn't wait to get time to go put some more rows on this blanket and watch the colour palette develop and grow.As the description offers, this kit does require some working knowledge of chain and double stitches - if not confident with these, there are plenty of tutorials online. Personally I don't believe the seller left anything out of this kit that needed to be there.On the strength of this effort, I've ordered and received the rather more complicated convovulus shawl kit....gulp! Wish me luck! Lots more thinking in that one. LOL.

I've just started doing this. I read a previous review before I bought it which said that you need to have a little knowledge before you begin and I'd agree with that. So I taught myself how to do a foundation chain and a double crochet stitch by watching youtube. This set is lovely to work with and you have everything you need plus a couple of extra treats which was a really nice touch. I'd say practice is required first but I'm very inexperienced and think I'm doing a good job so far and really enjoying it

What a lovely package and gorgeous colours.My only problem is that I have never crocheted before so getting the 2 bits of paper telling you how to do itwas a problem for me as I didn't even know how to start it and I thought there would at least be a photo or something telling you how to do the first knot/stitch. I thought there would have been more of a booklet or something not just 2 bits of paper. Saying that the kit is really lovely.

Lovely pattern, easy for beginners. I did need to watch a couple of beginners tutorials on youtube to find out how to chain stitch and double stitch. But after that I was flying. Cant wait until it’s finished. I have caught the crochet bug x

There needs to be more instructions. There is only two sheets of paper and I was expecting much better guidance for the price.

I have never crocheted before and after a quick review of the stitches on YouTube, have been able to produce a blanket as pictured and described. Clear and easy to follow instructions. I wanted it a bit longer, so added a few extra rows on to with the remaining wool. So good, I’ve ordered a different pattern to do next!
